commentary...

i am getting very bored, and tired,of watching the preparations of Super Bowl XLVII,because basically it is the same old bull, and after ten or so days,i just want to vomit, and just turn off the television,period... how many times can you hear about Ray Lewis,in his final game of his storied seventeen year career,or how Colin Kaepernick is going to react,in only his tenth start in the NFL,or even the fact that he was drafted,by the Chicago Cubs, right out of high school,or the fact that Joe Flacco wants $20 million/per year,on a new contract, because he believes that he is an "elite quarterback",or the fact that Randy Moss believes that he is a better receiver than Hall of Fame member Jerry Rice, who won multiple Super Bowls??? WHAT A LAUGH ON THAT!!!!!!! it has been a tough two weeks,so far,of watching the teams pose for the cameras, and reporters, and learn absolutely nothing, about the teams... BRING ON THE GAME!!!!!!!

Packers' news...

Greg Jennings appears to be gone,as an unrestricted free agent, because his house in DePere,Wisconsin is now for sale... with three major stars(Aaron Rodgers,Clay Matthews, and B.J. Raji),up for contract extension, soon, and with a crop of very good receivers already on roster,it appears that the Packers will allow Jennings to go as a free agent...

commentary...

i do wish that Super Bowl XLVII was one week after the AFC,and NFC Championship games, because to watch two weeks of pregame preparations,or even listen to how many times the teams are going to crush each other gets very boring,period... the NFL wants to hype up the game, and that is fine, but the NFL Network has over 140 hours of pregame programming, including a weekend of Super Bowl highlights, from Super Bowl I to Super Bowl XLVI,which is fine... however, doing the hype over and over makes me vomit, because i want to see the game, but the fact that there is two weeks, between the conference championship games, and the Super Bowl makes the game,at least, for me seem to be not much of a game... with me,being a Packers' shareholder/owner,does not mean the game between the San Francisco 49ers,and the Baltimore Ravens is not a fascinating game,to watch... can the vaunted Ravens' defense, over the years, stop the 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and the 49ers' offense, and can the 49ers' defense stop Joe Flacco,Ray Rice, and the Ravens' offense, but two weeks of pregame programming makes me want to simply puke, and i mean it,period...

trivia...

in NFL history, name the only two quarterbacks to register four 100-plus quarterback ratings,in a row? answer:Hall of Fame member, and former San Francisco 49ers' quarterback Steve Young(1991-1994),and current Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers(2009-2012)...

a classy man,period...

this came to my attention a couple days ago,but i did not know what to say,at the time... at least how to report on it... a waiter(Michael Garcia)at a Houston restaurant(Laurenzo's),was waiting on a couple who were regulars, who had a five year old child with Down's Syndrome, and the child was talking and making small noises... well,a couple complained, and was moved to another table in his section... however when the couple said,"Special needs children need to be special somewhere else",Garcia spoke up,and said,"Sir,i won't be able to serve you"... the couple left the restaurant... my opinion:that was the proper response to that situation, and i applaud him to doing so... a totally classy man...

a classy end,maybe....

it looks like Packers' wide receiver Donald Driver is thinking about retirement... he was inactive for the last regular season game, and the wild card victory, against the Minnesota Vikings, and,i believe, played on special teams, against the San Francisco 49ers... Packers' head coach Mike McCarthy basically forgot that he was on the roster, and i think that it was a very big mistake,on his part... he is the Packers' all-time leader in receptions, yardage, and total class... i have his home jersey hanging up in my closet, because of i think that he is a class person... even if he does play for another team, next year(he says that he does not want to do it,because,"when you get to this point in your career,no one has to tell you that you're done"),to me,he will always be Packers' Green and Gold through, and through... to a class person, have a great life, and hope to see you,in the Packer Hall of Fame, and to see your jersey retired,at Lambeau Field...

comments...

there is really nothing to talk about the NFL,today, except the preparations for Super Bowl XLVII,and honestly, for,at least, one day,i am very fatigued,in talking about 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick,Ravens' linebacker Ray Lewis, and which brother is going to be a Super Bowl-winning head coach,49ers' head coach Jim,or Ravens' head coach John Harbaugh... that much really sucks, and bites,period... to hear the pundits hype up either squad, day after day,is very boring, and i do not like it one bit...

standing up for Aaron Rodgers...

to Rob Reischel of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel,to quote Jermichael Finley's despicable agent,Blake Baratz,Greg Jennings' sister, and Hall of Fame member, and CBS Sports' NFL analyst Shannon Sharpe, whose brother Sterling played for the Packers, and do it to blast Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers' leadership of the Packers,is deplorable, and disgusting... those three people do not know Rodgers well, and in the case of all three, they seem to be disgruntled, for various reasons, and may have an axe to grind, with Rodgers, because of lack of playing time,or other gripes, which have nothing to do with Rodgers' leadership skills of the Packers... this piece of work is the best of "yellow journalism",and tabloid trash, worthy of any piece of toilet paper... to Reischel,i say that your piece is worth a piece(a small piece)of one-ply toilet paper...

here comes the lawyers...

too bad,it has to come to this:the late Junior Seau's family have sued the NFL,and Riddell,Inc.(the maker of NFL helmets),for wrongful death... i feel bad for Seau's family, but this is a moneygrubbing move by the family,to punish, and humiliate the NFL,for a guy who played brilliantly in the NFL FOR TWENTY YEARS,when the family cheered in the stands throughout his career, and now they want to get paid, because they feel cheated by their loss... my opinion:i hate to say this, but the fact that Seau's family is not trying to make the NFL safer, even though they say just the opposite... there are other ways to correct the situation, than suing for the almighty dollar... i know that there are other lawsuits pending against the NFL,for various reasons, including those with chronic traumatic encephalopathy(CTE),dementia, and other brain injuries, and i feel bad for everybody involved, including the Seau family, but to enjoy the NFL,for twenty years, then tragically have someone commit suicide, and months later, sue the person's employer for his death,is rather moneygrubbing and distasteful...

a storyline of Super Bowl XLVII...

a storyline hyped up for Super Bowl XLVII,is the fact that the Baltimore Ravens is coached by John Harbaugh, and the San Francisco 49ers is coached by Jim Harbaugh... you are right-brothers!!!!! they faced each other,Thanksgiving Day,2011,won by the Ravens,16-6...

NFC Championship...

San Francisco 49ers 28,Atlanta Falcons 24...

commentary...

honestly,i do not care who wins today... the San Francisco 49ers do not excite me,and i simply think that the Atlanta Falcons are simply overrated... the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots play each other again, like last year, but both teams are not the same teams that played last year,so i will watch both games, and just be happy that it is football,today...

commentary...

the Packers' game last night was a classic example of how to be royally screwed by a running quarterback... 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick ran through, around, left and right, the Packers' defense, all night, and the unknown quantity,in the game... rushing for 181 yards was a record for a game, for a quarterback,in any game,in NFL history... the Packers' defense had no answer for his running with the football... the 49ers ran the read option offense to perfection, and never looked back, after the muffed punt,by the Packers,at their own eleven yard line... some pundits have argued for the departure/firing of Packers' defensive coordinator Dom Capers, after this debacle, but that would be a major mistake, because even though the Packers stunk up the joint,on defense,he did help the Packers win two NFC North Division titles,in a row,and Super Bowl XLV,so let him get some more talent, and help the Packers win some more division titles, and possibly more Lombardi Trophies, and he was hampered with major injuries, like in 2010,on defense, and the Packers' offense was also hurt by major injuries, and not even Superman could have helped,at times... even though the Packers lost in the divisional round, for the second year,in a row,it just points out that the Packers need more talent, and depth,on both sides of the football... so the pain of this loss will subside, and let the Packers get ready for next year's draft, and season, after a break...

classy to the end...

after a double overtime,38-35,loss to the Baltimore Ravens,Peyton Manning, quarterback of the Denver Broncos, waited ninety minutes to congratulate Ray Lewis,of the Baltimore Ravens, after the game... he showed the ultimate class in doing so... way to go,Peyton!!!!

commentary...

when your defense gives up 323 yards rushing,to another team, you deserve to lose, and lose big... i could berate the Packers' offense, and it was not their best game, but they scored 31 points, which was not bad,in itself, however, when you have two turnovers, and both were turned into touchdowns, for your opponent, which was the difference on the scoreboard, ultimately, but honestly,Packers' defensive coordinator Dom Capers simply got out-coached,by the 49ers' offensive coordinator Greg Roman, and Capers had no clue,on how to stop 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who ran for an incredible 181 yards, mostly on scrambles, away from Packers' defensive pressure, including a fifty six yard touchdown run, which basically broke the Packers' spirit, and put the 49ers,up by seven, late,in the third quarter, and then two 93 yard drives, for touchdowns,in the fourth quarter, without the Packers scoring a point, going from 24-24 tie,to a 45-24 lead, with less than five minutes left,in the game... the Packers scored a garbage touchdown, with seconds left,in game, but you could tell that the Packers looked beaten, and rather confused,at end of game... i could get very upset,at the way that the team played, and i am,but for next year, they need to get more talent on both sides of the football, because the Packers got smoked, and beaten quite badly, and the team should be embarrassed,by the way that they played, because the defense stunk, and was over-matched all night, because to allow a quarterback to rush for 181 yards,is embarrassing,period...

comment...

i will talk about the Packers later on,today, when my disappointment subsides, and i will be brutally honest, period

comment...

the 49ers simply out-played the Packers, again!!!!!!! Colin Kaepernick ran for 181,of the team-high 323 yards... congrats to the 49ers,with utmost respect,period...

Packers' game score...

49ers 45,Packers 31... commentary tomorrow...

commentary...

i am psyched for the game, tonight, between the Packers and the San Francisco 49ers... it should be good, and exciting... pundits and oddsmakers favor the 49ers,but there is one thing that disturbs me,and may disturb 49ers' head coach Jim Harbaugh,too... he has a quarterback(Colin Kaepernick),who has started only eight games,in his NFL career, and how is he going to react to the pressure of the game, and perform under the big cameras, and spotlights,of prime time playoff pressure... this is not Nevada vs Boise State,Colin!!!! Kaepernick went to the University of Nevada,up in Reno... the big question for both teams:how many turnovers will decide the game, and who makes them??? experience edge goes to the Packers, and Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers may be sacked a lot,but he does not throw too many interceptions;he may fumble, but the big edge may be at quarterback... the 49ers' defense has been touted as very physical,no doubt, and the 49ers' defense have given up 102 points,in last four games(25.5 points/per game),but the Packers' defense have given up only 67 points,in last four games(16.75 points/per game)... it will be 49ers' defensive front seven against the Packers' offensive line, which may be inexperienced, and young, but is getting better, and both offenses against the opposing defensive secondaries, which will decide game... if it gets down to kickers,it may be a wash-even,because both punters are top-notch,and the Packers have a slight edge in returners, with Randall Cobb back receiving kicks... both field goal kickers have had off seasons, and the 49ers called in a second kicker, last week... however,i do not forget the NFL-record 63 yard field goal, kicked by the 49ers' David Akers, opening week, against the Packers that bounced off,and over the crossbar,at end of the first half,in Green Bay,but Akers, and Packers' kicker Mason Crosby, are one and two,in field goals missed,in the NFL,this year(thirteen, for Akers, and twelve, for Crosby)... interesting game tonight...

commentary...

i am tired of having the Packers being ignored, discounted,or underrated... pundits hype up the Denver Broncos,New England Patriots,Atlanta Falcons,or even the San Francisco 49ers,and they should be looked at,as the favorites... however,to overlook a team with the reigning NFL MVP,and an offense that can score in bunches, and a better defense than last year, like they are an afterthought,or some team just lucky to be in the playoffs,is a major mistake... even the Seattle Seahawks are getting hyped up,after beating the Washington Redskins... the Packers may be underrated because they started 2-3 and stumbled out of the gate like a drunken cow,but have won ten of the last twelve games(including last week's playoff win, against the undermanned Minnesota Vikings)... they have lost to both the 49ers,and to one play,in Seattle, against the Seahawks, and i do not belittle the wins by San Francisco, and Seattle, because both teams got the wins:San Francisco deserved the win,and Seattle got damn lucky, but a win is a win... the Packers are playing somewhat like the 2010 Super Bowl XLV Champions-numbers-wise,and getting healthier every week,on defense, and on offense...i believe that the Packers, and the 49ers are going to play a great game,on Saturday night, and if the Packers' offensive line(a big if)can keep quarterback Aaron Rodgers mostly upright, the Packers will win, because Rodgers is a surgeon with a football in his hands passing the football, and it is the first playoff football game for "Das Wunderkind"(Colin Kaepernick),who has played only a handful of games,in the regular season... do not forget that fact, because quarterback Alex Smith beat the Packers, opening week, not Kaepernick... remember that??? i am looking forward to the game,Saturday night, and the 49ers should be favored, but on the other side of the field, that night,is a very, very dangerous team playing the 49ers,that night... just remember that little fact....

NFL news...

54 days of memories...

sometimes in this blog i talk about personal things, and this thing i,rarely,if ever have talked about,to anyone, but,at one time,i had a fiancee, whom i loved very, very dearly, and she died, over thirteen years ago,on Christmas Day... i want to talk about the last fifty four days that i saw her... it was when she was in the hospital, dying of cancer... my dad and i were playing cribbage, the day before Halloween, and after we finished,he told me that he had something to give me... it was a letter from her, telling me that she was in the hospital dying of cancer, and she had something to give to me,and asking me to either come back or call... i read the letter twice, and decided to get on the bus to see her... i lived right on the city bus line that went right by the hospital,so in fifteen minutes,i walked into the lobby, and asked where was the eighth floor... out of the corner of my eye,i saw a lady in a wheelchair sitting there quietly, about ten feet from me... i had to take a double take... it was her,and so as i went over to her,she started to cry, repeating,"i do not believe it...",over and over, and as i took her hand,i said,"i am here until the end"... well, after getting some food,in cafeteria,we went up to her room, and talked until midnight, and i walked home two miles.. i repeated that routine every day,for fifty four days, and besides the medications, and bandages that the nurses gave her,i did everything else for her,and she told me that she only wanted to see three people,at the end:her kids, and me,and that was it... so i stayed at the hospital up to twenty hours a day,and six times i stayed in the bed besides her,at night... the nurses respected me no end, because i was in her corner, and i refused to back down, when it came to her care... one Monday night,i politely asked to have a nurse to change her bandages,so she could go to bed,and i refused to leave until that was done, but they kept her up until 2 am,before they did it... well,to say that i was mad at that lack of medical care was a total misstatement,i was fuming, and steamed... i was mad enough to fry an egg on my head, but never cursed once, because that was not proper, but i was not taking any more gruff from anybody... since she was dying, they figured that she got the bare minimum of care, and i was in no mood for excuses, and i almost reported them to the head of the hospital, who my fiancee knew quite well,at that time... shortly after that,i got tossed out of the hospital, when the head nurse started to bellow, and i just asked to talk to her about what i had done... the fact was that i was sitting quietly by her bedside, and the nurse got mad,so i went home, telling the security guard,as he snidely said to me,"Merry Christmas",basically where to put it... i went home, got a couple hours of sleep, changed clothes, and walked back to the hospital, walking past a jaw-dropped security guard, who had tossed me five hours earlier... i was back shortly after she woke up,and i apologized to the nursing staff, but not to the stupid head night nurse, because i felt that she was out of line, and she was,period... well,on the Tuesday before she died, she grabbed my hands in her hands, and said to me,"remember the 31st"(we were to get married that day),over, and over, and we said things to each other that we never had said to each other, before, and i guess that she knew that things would change shortly,so we said our wedding vows to each other then and there,in that cramped hospital room, and then she seemed happy, and then i went home... at 2:15 am,as i was in the shower, she left a message,on my phone, telling me that she loved me,very much... that was the last coherent thing that she said to me... as i was there in her room, later that day,she told me that she saw things flying around her bed,and i told her that they were angels, and they were there to look after her... i broke down, later that day, when i finally realized that she was going to die,so instead of going to the restroom in her room,i walked across the entire length of the building, and up two floors,to find a restroom... i promised her that i would not show up at the end,or at her funeral, because she wanted time with her family, instead, only one person was there-her youngest son-at the end... that Christmas Day,i almost walked over, after midnight mass,to stand outside her window and say,"Merry Christmas",but my legs were cramped so bad that it took every step to walk home... to her,i say that,"you are still in my heart",even now...

Packers-49ers trivia...

the Packers lead all-time series, with the San Francisco 49ers,30-26-1,with winning four of their five playoff games, and winning thirteen of the last fifteen games played between the teams, including playoffs...

Monday, January 7, 2013

commentary...

Packers' head coach Mike McCarthy has said that the Packers are "better when they feel a little disrespected",just meaning that they may not be underdogs too often, but this week, the Packers have embraced the underdog role, for the game,Saturday night, with the San Francisco 49ers,in proving that the pundits will be wrong... the Packers have won eight of the last ten games, between the teams, and even though the 49ers beat the Packers,at Lambeau,September 9th,2012,the teams are much better than the last time they played,so it will be an interesting game,Saturday night...

Sunday, January 6, 2013

commentary...

Packers 24,Vikings 10... in the game between the Packers, and the Minnesota Vikings, last night, the Packers contained Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson to 99 yards, and Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers dissected the middle of the Vikings' defense with short, pinpoint passes, over and over,in building up a 24-3 lead... he threw for 274 yards,on 23 completions,on 33 attempts, with a nine yard touchdown pass to fullback John Kuhn... the game was 24-3,with just over nine minutes, left in third period, and even though the Vikings' defense played very well, after, stopping the Packers,on six three and out drives,in a row,the damage was done, because the Vikings' passing attack was basically a real dud, throughout the game, except for a mis-step by the Packers' defense- a blown coverage that resulted in a 50 yard catch and run,to Michael Jenkins, late in fourth quarter, from the Vikings' backup quarterback Joe Webb, who looked like a Keystone Kop,most of the night, passing the ball... he did run for 68 yards, but with a horrid passing attack,it was a very ugly game, for the Vikings... the Vikings' running attack did do one thing for the Packers:it helped them somewhat to be ready for the read option, that the San Francisco 49ers will show them, next week, and the one big pass play that the Vikings had will piss off the Packers' defense, because i guarantee that head coach Mike McCarthy will show it to them, about a hundred times, this week(i would!!!)... you play the team that you play,on a given day... did anyone feel sorry for the Packers, when they were banged up,when they get their hat handed to them,by the New York Giants, and they lost 38-10??? well, they did not feel sorry for the Packers, one bit,and i would not expect them to feel sorry for the team...

comments about next week...

before you think the San Francisco 49ers can beat the Packers,in San Francisco, even though the 49ers beat the Packers, opening week(September 9th,2012),30-22,here is a tidbit that you may want to think about:the last time that 49ers beat the Packers, before this season, was January 3rd,1999,when Hall of Fame member, and 49ers' quarterback Steve Young hit Terrell Owens between two Packers' defenders, with three seconds left,at the goal line,in a 49ers' wild card playoff win,at Candlestick Park...

commentary...

this is the opening round of the NFL playoffs, and it is Packers-Vikings tonight,so welcome to frigid Green Bay,Adrian, and enjoy the legendary "frozen tundra"... true story:an operator,in 1967,woke up a Dallas Cowboys' player, nice and easy, said that it was minus-15,and to have a nice day... personally,i will have the Packers' radio broadcast,on tonight,on XM,and the phone off,and will not answer any phone call, until after game... i am so psyched for game... if the Packers lose,i will applaud, but honestly,i am tired of everyone hyping the Vikings, this week, and thinking that they are going to beat the Packers(my opinion:they are not going to do it),and i am just tired of hearing of Adrian Peterson rushing for 2,097 yards, and how close he came to breaking Hall of Fame Member Eric Dickerson's 1984 NFL record,of 2,105 yards... he has had a great year,no doubt, but the Vikings are playing tonight, not earlier in the day,at frigid ice cold Lambeau Field, and by the way,Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not "the old gunslinger" Brett Favre, and no slights to Favre, intended, but Favre was known to throw more than an occasional interception, and Rodgers rather take a sack than throw an interception, and turnovers will decide this game, and the edge goes to Rodgers,on this night, ultimately,on that front, but i have to give the Vikings a chance, only if the Packers turn the football over, more than once... if you believe that i am being a homer,on this day,i definitely am being one,i admit... GO PACK GO!!!!!!!

playoff appearances,in NFL history...

1)New York Giants:31 playoff appearances,2)Dallas Cowboys:30 playoff appearances,3)Green Bay Packers:28 playoff appearances....

commentary...

i could reprint last week's commentary,on how to beat the Vikings, and tell you the same things over and over, but honestly that would be boring, very boring... so i will say that i honestly believe that the Packers will win Saturday, because even though the Minnesota Vikings played a very good game, and have won four games,in a row,the cold weather in Green Bay will have an effect on passing, and catching the football for the Vikings' offense, and the fact that it is like kicking a rock,in that type of cold weather, and getting deep into the game, the temperature will drop, into the mid-teens,or even lower, with the wind coming off Dead Horse Bay,and northwestern Lake Michigan makes the wind colder,at night...(don't you like the name of the bay, fronting Green Bay)... history note:the second coldest game in NFL history, was the "Ice Bowl",between the Dallas Cowboys, and the Packers, for the 1967 NFL Championship... so,weather will affect the game, but the Packers have played in that weather, and the Vikings have not played in that weather that time of year,in eight years... i do not take the Vikings lightly,at all, because of many factors, one being Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 409 yards, against the Packers, this season, and 2,097 yards, overall, but there are ways to beat the Vikings, and in that case, there are also ways to beat the Packers,too... honestly, can the Vikings repeat that great game plan,in frigid Green Bay,and if they can, they will win,but can the Vikings' defense stop Aaron Rodgers, and the still potent Packers' offense,in that cold weather... interesting game,Saturday...

Wednesday, January 2, 2013

correction...

folks,no one's perfect... i forgot the 2003-2004 NFC playoffs, when the Seattle Seahawks lost to the Packers,33-27,in overtime, when Packers' cornerback Al Harris returned an interception 52 yards, for a touchdown, after Seahawks' quarterback Matt Hasselback, told the referee that,"we want the ball,we are going to score",at the overtime coin toss... that was the last win,at Lambeau Field, for the Packers,so it is a three game losing streak, not four,Saturday, that the Packers wish to break, against the Vikings...

a low point in society...

the pundits are really hyping the fact that Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson has averaged 205.5 yards/per game, against the Packers, this year, and this will be the third game between the teams,in last six weeks(one win, apiece,at home, for both teams)... the main factors in Minnesota's win, over the Packers,Sunday, was not Peterson, but quarterback Christian Ponder, for the Vikings, and the Vikings' overall defense, which played very well... i have to admit that, but the Packers' offense still scored 34 points,Sunday... the Vikings had lost five games in a row, before Sunday,to the Packers,so they had to play a very good game, against the Packers, and still only beat them,by three points... the Packers' defense played, overall, the second worst defensive effort,of the season, and still lost game,by three points... they could not tackle most anybody, all day,and played soft, not Packers' defense, and allowed Christian Ponder to dissect the Packers' pass defense, when necessary,to get third down conversions,at critical moments in game, which kept Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the sideline, especially in the first quarter, and the first half of the second quarter, when the Vikings built up a 13-0,and then a 20-7 lead, before the Packers' offense got into gear, and scored some points... now for the game,in Green Bay,in the mid-teens-weather-wise,can Ponder, and Peterson, and company repeat the game plan... possible, but even though, the Vikings have won four games,in a row,let me remind you that the Packers have won nine,of the last eleven games, overall, and have won the last twenty,of twenty one regular season games(.950),and twenty six of twenty eight games, overall,at Lambeau Field(,929)-number one in the NFL,over that span,of games... however, the Packers have lost the last four playoff games,at Lambeau Field(losing to Atlanta,Minnesota, and to New York Giants(twice))... the last win,at Lambeau,in the playoffs, was a 25-15 win, against the San Francisco 49ers,on January 13,2002... so,honestly,it will be a dogfight,Saturday night... to even things out,Christian Ponder, and kicker Blair Walsh, have never played a game, below 40 degrees,in their short NFL careers, and can the Packers end their losing streak,as the playoffs go... GAMES UPDATE:the Packers lost 27-7,in 2003-2004 NFC playoffs,to the Falcons, when Michael Vick, and a muffed punt,by Packers' kick returner Eric Metcalf(which bounced off the shoulder,of Falcons' defensive back Tyrone Williams),and it was not challenged,by Packers' head coach Mike Sherman(what a real piece of work he was) did in the Packers, that night, and then the Packers lost 31-17,to the Daunte Culpepper-Randy Moss led Vikings,in the 2004-2005 NFC playoffs, and then the Packers lost,in overtime,to the Giants, when quarterback Brett Favre threw his last pass, for the Vikings(an interception,by Giants' defensive back Corey Webster),in overtime, that set up game-winning field goal, and then last season a Hail Mary touchdown pass(caught by Giants' wide receiver Hakeem Nicks),at end of first half, gave the momentum to the Giants,in their 37-20 blowout,win... big question for the Packers:can they win at Lambeau Field, and snap their overall playoff losing(unlucky,as it may be)streak,at four... big question for the Vikings:can they play their best game,of the season,at ice cold Lambeau,Saturday night...
