the Cardinals moved from Chicago to St. Louis,in 1960... so Matson's trade,was from Chicago Cardinals,to Los Angeles Rams,for nine players... the reason that i say that the trade was a dud,was not because of Matson and his production,but because the Rams were not good in the early 1960's,as a team... side note:Matson was inducted into Pro Football Hall of Fame,in 1972,and into the College Football Hall of Fame,in 1976...
