commentary...

training camp for most teams starts next week... the Packers start training camp on July 25th,one day after the annual stockholder/owner meeting on July 24th... i told you last year that i would be there this year, but right now the finances are just out of sight, which does suck big time,period... however, being a shareholder/owner of the Green Bay Packers is still a dream, and i am so very proud of being part of the public ownership of the Packers... i am looking forward to the 2013-2014 NFL season,in which the Packers are being overlooked as serious contenders for the NFL playoffs, and to make a long run towards Super Bowl XLVIII... the pundits overlook the fact that the team defense has been improved, barring injury to a major intent, the Packers should win the NFC North... it will not be easy, never expect it to be easy, work like champions, and results will come... having the sixth toughest NFL schedule this year will be a real tough hill to climb, including the rematch with the current NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers,opening week,in San Francisco... you tend to forget that the 49ers gained 579 yards on offense,in a 45-31 massacre,in the NFC divisional playoff game,in San Francisco, last January, but folks, the Packers' team defense was humiliated that night... however, the Packers have not forgotten the bad taste of that bitter loss, and the pundits expect the same thing to happen to the Packers, opening week, but folks,i hate to rain on their obituary of opening week, for the Packers, but folks, like i have said before, last year is last year... the Packers may have a tough day, opening week, but teams change during the season, good and bad... to remind you during their Super Bowl XLV-winning season, the Packers had fifteen men on injured reserve, and had to have help to get into the playoffs, received it,with wins,by Philadelphia, over the New York Giants, and a big road win,by Detroit(to break a NFL record twenty six game road losing streak),at Tampa Bay,in overtime(both wins came on the same Sunday afternoon),and then they steamrolled the Philadelphia Eagles,Atlanta Falcons(the number one seed in the NFC),and the Chicago Bears,in the NFC Championship game, all at their houses, and then beat the Pittsburgh Steelers,31-25,in Super Bowl XLV... the Packers may be overlooked,as NFC contenders, but folks,to tell you the truth, they may absolutely adore the role of the underdog, this season... expect some team to be a surprise this year, and i say,why not the Packers?
