Lauren Hill,a freshman at Division III Mount St. Joseph's signed up earlier this off-season,to play women's college basketball,but was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma(DIPG)(a tumor on at base of brain stem),which is terminal... Mount St.Joseph's petitioned the NCAA to have game against Hiram College moved up two weeks,to allow Lauren to play... they accepted,and the first basket of game was scored by Lauren,on a layup,and the standing room only crowd,and both teams gave Lauren a standing ovation... WAY TO GO,LAUREN!!!!!! prayers go out to you,and your family... you are an inspiration to a lot of people...
