a letter to Nick Fairley...

dear Nick:you are a very good football player,but honestly you need to be serious,and do what Hall of Fame member Michael Irvin says,and "get real",because you have been arrested twice since May,and you need to understand that people use you as a "target"(be your friend one moment,and talk bad about you the next,that is what i mean,by target),and will not have your best interests at heart... you are young,and need to grow up some and just understand that some people are not good to be around... you may be a good guy,and i do not doubt that,but you need to realize that you are a member of the NFL community,and should be very honored,to be that,because many want to be there,and few are chosen,and have the talent to be there...i would like you to be an inspiration to the football players,of this country,and not a cautionary tale,of someone gone wrong... Nick,you are a very talented football player,and i know that,but you must understand that people make mistakes,and they must learn from them... i know that you will learn from your mistakes,and hopefully i will see you play against the Packers,twice,this year...
