Saints' "bounty" scandal,in courtroom,update...

the NFLPA wants former Commissioner Paul Tagiabue to recuse himself from the Saints' "bounty" scandal appeal hearings, because of three factors:one:on his biography page,at his law firm,he is listed as a business consultant for the NFL,two:he is a partner at Covington, and Burling, who is representing the NFL,in the players' lawsuits, and three:it is against the ethics regulations,in the District of Columbia, citing Rule 2.4,which states that you can not an arbitrator,if you are associated with one of the parties involved... U.S. Second District Judge Helen G. Berrigan wants everyone(NFL/NFLPA),to submit legal briefs,by Friday(October 26th,2012)... Berrigan has said the if she could rule on the merits, then she would rule in(Vilma's/the players)favor, because the NFL's case is "vague"... she is ruling in part on Vilma's defamation suit, against NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and parts of the players lawsuits, against the NFL,and their appeal of their various lengths of suspensions... my opinion:the union wants an arbitrator to basically overturn the players' suspensions(therefore:gutting the Commissioner of his power to discipline players, under Article 46,and the "conduct detrimental" clause),and the judge wants to overturn the suspensions, which means the union will not accept a neutral arbitrator,no matter what, because they simply want to gut the Commissioner's power, given to him in the current collective bargaining agreement, signed, before the 2010-2011 NFL season... so the circus goes on...
