commentary...

all the teams in the NFC North have improved their team defenses, but honestly, you can dissect each team in the division... of the three major contenders,Detroit Lions,on paper, are very dangerous, but is there an improvement in the defensive backfield??? Chicago Bears are also very dangerous,on paper, offensively, but again,is there an improvement on defense??? yes,but there are major holes,in the defensive backfield... the Packers are not perfect,either... with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, running back Eddie Lacy, and head coach Mike McCarthy, the Packers have foundation of a very good offense, even with the departure of wide receiver James Jones, but the problem with the Packers was a lack of a pass rush... only so much Clay Matthews can do... with the addition of Jared Allen to the Bears, and Julius Peppers to the Packers, both teams will be dangerous with a pass rush, and is that important??? ask Aaron Rodgers, who got sacked eight times in first half(another sack was called back by penalty),against Seattle,in the "Fail Mary" loss(14-12),to the Seahawks, two seasons ago... i do not mention the Vikings because, honestly, they are rebuilding their defense, and quarterback position, this season, but with running back Adrian Peterson, they are a wounded, but dangerous,team... so games in the NFC North may not be the "glamour" games that people may want, but all of them will be bruising wars between teams that simply, really,do not like each other,period...
