comments...

have to give love to the Oakland Raiders for their 27-20 win in Cleveland, last Sunday, because they had not won in the eastern time zone, since 2009,and had not won in Cleveland, since 1985... to say it simply, nice win,RAIDERRRRRRS!!!!!!!* *had to say that to quote Bill King!!!

some ice cold comments...

a rhetorical question:do you think i am laughing at every loss for DA BEARS??? anyone for paper bags, yet,in Chicago??? folks,by the way,i will be shipping paper bags,to DA BEARS' headquarters... honestly,if you believe that i am being ice cold, tough!!!!! DA BEARS REALLY SUCK!!!!

woes in DA BEARS' land...

NFL.com ranks DA BEARS 32nd in their power rankings... the reasons:a)they were shut out by the Seattle Seahawks... they had only 146 offensive yards(146?),and 48 net rushing yards(48?)... what a GREAT resume for a pitiful team... DA BEARS REALLY SUCK!!!! note:i feel sorry for the fans of DA BEARS,but the team has hit the proverbial iceberg... they traded Jared Allen to the Carolina Panthers, after paying him $14.5 million, and three games of play... like Bugs Bunny would say,"what maroons"... (laughing)... is the fire sale still on,in Chicago...

what is going to happen???

the Packers' next opponents are the San Francisco 49ers,in Santa Clara... the last two weeks, the 49ers have been beaten 43-18,by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and 47-7,by the Arizona Cardinals-the worst beatings taken by a 49ers' team, since October 5th,and 12th,1980,when the Los Angeles Rams beat them,48-26,and then the Dallas Cowboys beat then in the most lopsided game in 49ers' history,59-14... one question:wonder what is going to happen,Sunday, when Aaron Rodgers, and company, visit LEVI'S stadium...

correction...

Aaron Rodgers has thrown forty three touchdowns, including tonight,at Lambeau Field, since his last interception... note:actually, his last interception was in week thirteen, against the Minnesota Vikings,in 2012,in a Packers' 23-14 win, over the Vikings,in 2012... i feel badly that i did not check my facts, when i mentioned the Detroit Lions, but against the Lions,in 2012,but it was a back to back set of games,in 2012... the stats are correct, but the team was wrong, and that upsets me,because i strive to be as perfect as i can be... a week ago,i even corrected a blog post from June,so i want to be perfect...

NFL,and Packers' history...

Aaron Rodgers became only the second quarterback to throw ten touchdowns, without an interception,in the first three games of a season... the other quarterback:Peyton Manning,of the Denver Broncos,in 2013,when he threw 55 touchdowns in a season... note:Aaron Rodgers has thrown 43 touchdowns, since his last interception,at Lambeau Field,in 2012,and including playoffs,he has not thrown an interception in 580 passes...

commentary...

when you are 24 completions in 35 passes, for 333 yards, with five touchdowns, and have not had an interception,in 486 passes,at your house, you are quarterback Aaron Rodgers,of the Green Bay Packers... you have not thrown an interception,at Lambeau Field, since December 9th,2012,when you played the Detroit Lions, that day,in 2012... wide receiver Randall Cobb caught three touchdown passes(his first game,in the NFL,with that stat)... it was 38-14,early in the fourth quarter, when the Chiefs had two garbage time touchdowns,to make it close, and respectable, with the score at the end of the game...  honestly, when both teams got called for nineteen penalties, the fourth quarter took almost a hour of television time... it was almost like the referees were the stars, because the game had the officiating crew that the second most penalties called in the first two weeks... the fourth quarter was just very ugly in pace,so i even heard the announcers on radio saying that the officiating crew was just was flag happy, and say it simply,i happen to agree,period... a win is a win;a ugly win,but still a win...

NFC North division game...

Denver Broncos 24,Detroit Lions 12... Lions choke and fans boo... Lions 0-3,and play the Seattle Seahawks, next Sunday,in Seattle... my opinion:Joe Lombardi,Vince's grandson, really sucks,as Lions' offensive coordinator... Lions really suck,too...

Packers' first win,against DA BEARS,ninety years ago,today...

ninety years ago, today, the Packers finally beat DA BEARS for the first time... final score:14-10,in Green Bay,at old City Stadium... there is actually a black and white photo of the game, that day, ninety years ago...

a night at Lambeau Field...

Lambeau Field looks beautiful, and lighted up like it will be tomorrow night... wish i was there dreaming of beating DA BEARS by 50+ points... i can dream!!!! by the way,DA BEARS REALLY SUCK!!!!

the Packers win if...

the Packers win if:the Packers must keep quarterback Aaron Rodgers upright, for the most part(any sacks more than three)will allow the Chiefs to dictate on team defense, and put Rodgers and company in deep trouble... double team Justin Houston,if possible, and run the football for more than 150 yards,or close, right at him... relieve the pressure on Rodgers by possession of the football,on team offense... the Chiefs win if:they rattle and pressure Rodgers all night, and have Jamaal Charles(he fumbled twice, against the Denver Broncos, including a game losing fumble ran back for a winning touchdown,in final seconds)go nuts for close to 150-200 yards, and try to let quarterback Alex Smith beat you with a passing attack that has not been the best in the NFL...  the Packers' defense must pressure Alex Smith into mistakes(interceptions,or fumbles)... the teams are,for the most part, are mirror images, except the Packers are better on team offense, and can light up any team in NFL,AT ANY TIME,but the Chiefs' front seven are the best in NFL,and rookie cornerback/safety Marcus Peters has an interception in both of the Chiefs' games,so the game will be interesting, the game will at Lambeau Field, not Arrowhead Stadium, which should give the Packers the edge, but who knows...

second beatdown of the week...

Arizona Cardinals 47,San Francisco 49ers 7...

NFC North Division game...

Seattle 26,Chicago Bears 0... first shutout of DA BEARS since 2002,when they were shut out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,in week seventeen,15-0,when Tampa Bay kicked five field goals... it was the last game played at Memorial Stadium,at the University of Illinois,in Champaign,Illinois, while Soldier Field was being renovated... Henry Burris was the starting quarterback, for DA BEARS(his only NFL start)... DA BEARS SUCK!!!!

comment...

there may be a second beatdown of the week brewing,so stay tuned...

NFC North division game...

Minnesota Vikings 31,San Diego Chargers 14... Denver Broncos plays the Detroit Lions,Sunday night...

beatdown of the week...

New England Patriots 51,Jacksonville Jaguars 17... Tom Brady became the fourth player in NFL history to throw 400 touchdowns, for the Patriots...

my first time "on the road"...

the very first "on the road" adventure for me was in the month of February,1991... it started in Reno,Nevada, and actually ended in Tatum,New Mexico, eighteen days later... Tatum,New Mexico is a long walk from Roswell,New Mexico, seven miles from the Texas border... i remember one major thing from the adventure was that it rained only two and a half hours,in Kingman,Arizona,as i waited for a ride out of town, and did not rain until i got back to Sacramento, several days later... i remember the walk from Roswell,to Tatum, because it was stunningly beautiful... i went from Reno to Carson City, then Silver Springs, and then got one ride to Las Vegas,in an early 1960's Porsche... the guy said that he had to be in Vegas by sunset,so hold on... he averaged 110 mph even in the towns of southern Nevada... what a real rush... we stopped in Indian Springs for a soda, then i spent the night walking the Strip... the lights of the Strip were spectacular... i lost twenty bucks on the craps table at the Mirage... the next day,i went to Boulder City, and crossed Hoover Dam,and saw Lake Mead for the first time... what a sight,if you have never seen that... i hit Kingman,Arizona, the next day,in a blur, and made Albuquerque the same night... i finally slowed down in Mortiaty,New Mexico, where i stayed in a truck stop for four days, because i was very tired, and it was a trip that i really could not believe how far and fast i was going... after four days,or so,i finally set off,and got a ride to Roswell,New Mexico... funny thing is that i had no idea where i was, spent a night in a hotel that was not even one star, and for the only time in my life,i had a SONIC Burger... the next day,i walked to Tatum, received a free meal, and had a shower... how i got home is also an adventure,so that is next,folks... stay tuned!!!

comment...

i was going to type on my life,tonight,but i am getting a headache,so aspirin time,and snoozeville... sorry,folks...

USC Trojans 42,Arizona State Sun Devils 14...

Packers' trivia...

what NFL team has the longest current streak in having at least one sack in a game??? answer:you probably will not believe this, but the Packers have a current streak of 38 consecutive games... the last time the Packers did not get,at least, one sack was December 9th,2012,against the Detroit Lions...

memories of the music of my childhood...

i am listening to the "Chairman of the Board",one Francis Albert Sinatra, singing,"It's all right with Me"... SIRIUSLY SINATRA is one of my favorites on my SiriusXM satellite radio... i remember many people when i listen to the channel,my mother,my uncle(UNC)Bob,and my dearest love,my soulmate... all of them remind me of this kind of music... my soulmate actually was a friend of Ol' Blue Eyes... no kidding!!!!! she told a story about Sinatra that will remain private, and was told to me only once, never repeated, and out of respect of her,i shall not repeat it here, even fifteen plus years, after her death... my uncle Bob(UNC) got me hooked on jazz music,so this reminds me of him,too... my parents had an old vinyl record collection, played Jack Jones,Sam and Dave, and before going to school,i listened to what they played... it was not every day,but enough days that i truly remember sitting on the couch,in Bakersfield, enjoying their music... my father may not remember that, but i surely do,like it was only yesterday... i do have a very long memory, and i really have appreciated what the people named did,in giving a great music education to yours truly... i even took a music history class in college, and i used to close my eyes in listening what the teacher played in class, because i thought that i was there when the artists played their selections, and most of what was played was classical music,Gregorian Chants, and i used to listen intently to the music, like i am doing right now... i am just enjoying the music of Sinatra, and other artists that were simply great... to those memories,i gratefully tip my hat...

injury update...

Davante Adams says that he will play Monday, and went through individual drills,today...

Chiefs/Packers game notes...

Tamba Hali and Justin Houston accounted for 28 sacks, last season(22 sacks for Houston),but Hali sacked Aaron Rodgers three times,in 19-14 win over the Packers,in 2011,in Arrowhead Stadium(the only regular season loss that season for the Packers),so i deeply respect the Chiefs' front seven, and their team defense, overall, but can the Chiefs outscore the Packers, again, this time,in Green Bay??? Rodgers has not thrown an interception,in 451 passes,at Lambeau Field, going back to the 2012 NFL season... Davante Adams, and Eddie Lacy are injured... Lacy should play,Adams may not(both have ankle injuries),but Monday night may be a blessing for both of them... cross the fingers!!! Bryan Bulaga will probably miss the game at left tackle,so they may double team Houston to help Don Barclay, who has started before,so it may not be a big shock for Barclay... the Packers should have a mobile pocket,in moving Rodgers around... he is almost as deadly moving around than in the pocket... statistics prove that, but who knows???  the Packers' defense has to stop Jamaal Charles from going for over 100 yards, and let quarterback Alex Smith beat the Packers... stat of the week:the Chiefs did not have a wide receiver score a touchdown, last season... stop also Travis Kelce(their tight end),from catching for 100+ yards... if they do,the game will be interesting... can the Chiefs out-score the Packers,at Lambeau Field??? my opinion:simply said,no!!!!

class of the ultimate...

a McDonald's in Chicago, two days ago,a disabled man wheeled up to counter, ordered his meal, and then asked for help from the cashier named Kenny... there is video of what happened next... Kenny shut his register during dinner rush, went in back to wash his hands, and put gloves on,and cut up his meal and fed him... apparently,he was a quadriplegic, who needed help to eat his meal... a true class act!!!

comment...

i will talk about the Chiefs/Packers Monday night game later today...

more stories "on the road"...

i am listening to country singer Clint Black, and it honestly reminds of one thing:standing in the old Tower Records(a big RIP),on Watt and El Camino, many nights, when they honestly let customers listen to whole albums before buying the album, and the album that i am listening to is actually one of those albums:Nothing but the Taillights... the cover song reminds of my time "on the road",and i simply cry, because it always reminds me of the really bad time that i had with my soulmate, arguments and just a very bad time,period... i miss that,in only one way, that i only wish that things were much different back then, because i cared for my soulmate very, very much... i also have a second album by Garth Brooks,"Sevens",that remind me of that time,too... i listened to both albums over and over,at Tower, many nights, and i still remember that time, like it was just yesterday,honestly... people will never understand why i miss that time "on the road",back then... not everything was a drag, folks, because i actually had some great and fun times, like listening to then-brand new music, and just literally dancing(step by step)in the aisles of Tower Records.. i never bothered anyone there, and they did not bother me,either... i did appreciate that,no end... being "on the road" was a true education to me... it taught me how to be a real man,and gave me a edge that i still have... i learned "on the road" not to take any crud from anybody, and if they gave it to me,i would honestly finish the fight, without a doubt... i never started a fight, but i finished my share of them, because that was the way that i had to do it,or get my rear end beat up quite badly, and i have had my rear end kicked many times, but honestly,i have won my share of fights, while "on the road",and that was the way that you got respect from people... honestly, people thought that i was an easy mark to beat up,but i taught many people that i could give it as good as they could give it,and in many instances,i beat their rear ends, and had them back off me... being "Psycho Nut" did help,no doubt... (laughing)...

comments about the Chiefs/Packers game...

the Packers play the Kansas City Chiefs,at Lambeau Field,Monday night,so the game markup will be on Wednesday or Thursday... note:i remember when the Chiefs were simply bad,a sportswriter used to call them the Chefs... i still laugh about that... second note:the Chiefs are very good, especially on defense... the Chiefs gave the only loss in the 2011 regular season(a 19-14 loss,in Kansas City)...

final notes on the Seahawks...

simply said, when your leading rusher is your quarterback, your supposed "heart" of your team rushes for forty one yards, you do not score after close to seven minutes left in the third quarter,YOU ARE THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS,you lose 27-17,to the Packers,on national television, and look like your defense is just average..."Legend of Boom"??? ha,ha...

comments...

DA BEARS' quarterback Jay Cutler is out with a hamstring injury,at least, two weeks... with Seattle,on their schedule, next,DA BEARS are going to SUCK,BIG TIME,this season... LOVE IT!!!!!

commentary...

the Seattle Seahawks were one of the best teams,in the NFL,going into the season, and they are still very good... they can still right their "ship",because they face DA BEARS,and the Detroit Lions(two 0-2 teams)the next couple of weeks... however, they are in deep trouble,in their division, because of their loss to the St. Louis Rams, opening week... if the Packers face the Seahawks again,in the playoffs, the only way that the Seattle Seahawks will get a home game is to have a better overall record(13-3,to 12-4,for example),because the Packers beat the Seahawks, last night... if they have the same overall record, the playoff game will be at Lambeau Field... i do expect them to make the playoffs, even the NFC Western Division champion... the longer Kam Chancellor holds out the deeper the hole they will be in... i expect Chancellor to hold out a few weeks more, because he wanted more money upfront, and the owner backs the general manager in his stance against giving Chancellor any more money upfront... Chancellor signed a five year contract,a couple years ago,and now he wants a raise,so he is being a diva in that way... he can hold out until week ten,and still get credit for an accrued year(for free agency matters),in the NFL,so it may be a long year for the Seahawks...

comments...

i will talk about last night's Packers' game against the Seahawks, later on today... note:i have to wake up,because my body hurts when i wake up... not serious, but everything hurts when i usually wake up,because i have broken bones, and torn tendons/ligaments in every limb, and have been hit by three cars,in my life, including an auto accident in my childhood,so it takes me awhile to get going... i will be back,shortly...

Packers' game score...

Packers 27,Seahawks 17... FINALLY!!!!

NFC North division game...

Minnesota Vikings 26,Detroit Lions 16... a sloppy game,as Lions choke again,at 0-2... both teams sucked...

beatdown of the week, and NFC North division game...

Arizona Cardinals 48,DA BEARS 23... Cardinals score fourteen points in each of the first three quarters, and quarterback Jay Cutler threw an interception for a touchdown(a pick six),before getting injured...

more DA BEARS sucking...

when it rains,it pours:quarterback Jay Cutler out of game, because of an hamstring injury... DA BEARS did not have a third quarterback activated for game...

DA BEARS SUCK!!!

DA BEARS play the Arizona Cardinals,in Chicago,today... opening kickoff:David Johnson ran it back 108 yards for the Cardinals, was never touched... DA BEARS SUCK!!!! anyone for a grocery bag,YET,DA BEARS fans???

breaking NFL news...

Dez Bryant will miss 10-12 weeks, because of a broken foot that required a bone graft to his foot... my opinion:i personally expect him to play against the Packers on December 13th,in Dallas...

relaxing and remembering life "on the road"...

i turn on country music to relax before some days... it reminds me of some old friends, family who i deeply miss, and actually the Nevada desert, which i remember that i walked in and marveled at... people believe that i should not been "on the road" for a decade... i look at it this way:growing up i was very immature, sheltered(my opinion),really needed to grow up,and after some pain of being "on the road",i simply got used to it... i actually grew up "on the road",by traveling most days... staying away from major trouble, and just being by myself... the fact that i traveled most of the last seven years kept me safe and sane, and i got very good at reading people... only once was i in very serious trouble, and i was not traveling... i was very stupid in doing something, and it taught me a very valuable lesson(not to be so trusting, grow a set,and be a little tougher, meaner, and a little "Psycho Nut",when facing trouble)... funny thing is that very few people wanted to face me,when i went "Psycho Nut",and yet i also learned to avoid those people who were fearless and truly crazy... had a few people who fought me simply say to me that i was the toughest (person)* to fight, because i was simply crazy, and but again,i had some fights with some simply crazy people, who told me to simply "stay down",or else... those fights ended with that,period... *i can not repeat the word, starts with a f... well, back to what i am trying to say... the years that i spent "on the road" was enjoyable,if you know what i mean, because i met some people that were very memorable, but honestly,i dearly loved the places that i visited, either in car,or,literally,on foot... i wish that i could really relate the feelings that i would experience when walking in Rocky Mountain National Park,at 12,000 ft,and seeing some beautiful scenery,or walking out of Boise,Idaho on this two lane road, and seeing cows grazing, and realizing that people really forget to "stop and smell the roses",because it is literally next to I-84(you go about fifty yards, from an on-ramp,and you see cows grazing up on a hill, and with a white picket fence)... even seeing snow fall on the ground, during a blizzard,at the Grand Canyon,is a beautiful sight, and simply walking in the hot Nevada desert,in 105 degrees, outside Beatty,Nevada, was a real adventure... i even remember walking on the side of I-40,in Kingman Arizona,in 112 dry heat degrees, after almost dying from botulism, looking at some trees, and realizing that i was not even hot... i stared at the tree's leaves,a cloudless blue sky,and just loved life.... what scenery, and true sights to see,and to remember!!!!!

USC Trojans game score...

Stanford 41,USC Trojans 31... when you allow nearly 200 yards on the ground, you lose...

Seahawks/Packers game notes...

the Packers, under head coach Mike McCarthy, are 7-2,in home openers, winning seven of the last eight games... since 1978,the Packers are 22-7,on Sunday night, best in the NFL... under McCarthy, the Packers are 54-17-1,at home... including postseason, the Packers have won nine straight home games... against Seattle, they are 8-7,in regular season,2-1,in postseason, and 6-1,at Lambeau Field(10-8,overall)... Aaron Rodgers is 6-1,in home openers... Green Bay has won 51 home openers, third best,in the NFL,behind DA BEARS(65),and the Detroit Lions(with 52)...  note:the Packers are the only NFL team to win 50+(54) road openers... this game will be only the 18th time that the Packers' home opener is not week one of a season, and only one of the other seventeen times was not week two... in 1924,it was week three, when the Packers beat the Kansas City Blues,16-0... of those seventeen games, the Packers are 9-8... the Packers finished 8-0,at Lambeau Field, for the fifth time(1996-1997,2002,2011,and 2014)... the Packers scored 40+ points in four home games, second in franchise history(five times,in 2011)... the point differential of plus-155,last season, was the best in franchise history... in three of the last five games, against the Seahawks,at Lambeau Field, the Packers have beaten the Seahawks by 20+ points(twice by 22 points, and once by 28 points)...

the Packers win if...

the Packers win if:they stop Marshawn Lynch from running for 100+ yards, and if cornerback Richard Sherman does not play like the best cornerback in the NFL... they are the big cogs for Seattle, with Kam Chancellor not playing... they also watch out for a long punt/kickoff return from Tyler Lockett, who ran a punt return back for touchdown in loss to the St. Louis Rams... the Packers also win if they are consistent in scoring, and their defense is good... example:the Packers scored a lousy six points in the second half, and early did not punch in for touchdowns, but kicked field goals,in first half, when within the five yard line... it came back to bite them, and a botched onside kick,at the end of the fourth quarter,in the (real)brutal NFC Championship game, last season... the Seahawks win if:Lynch goes off and gashes the Packers' front seven for 150+ yards rushing... Sherman intercepts quarterback Aaron Rodgers more than once, and Lockett has 200 return yards and a touchdown... the defense harasses Rodgers(giving him no time to pass),and sacks him five times,or something close to that number of sacks... finally, for Seattle, they have to stop the Packers from scoring 25-30 points, and have a consistent running attack(keeping football away the Packers' offense)... the Packers win if:Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy dissects the "Legend of Boom",and Rodgers passes for over 300 yards, does not throw an interception, and Lacy becomes a battering ram(scoring touchdowns, instead of kicking field goals early),and rushes for over 100 yards... they stop kicking field goals in the red zone, and score touchdowns, when they are there, early and often... get the lead and take Lynch out of the game plan, and make Russell Wilson beat the Packers late in the fourth quarter, which will give the Packers' defense opportunities to take the football away, and win the turnover battle,AND CATCH AN ONSIDE KICK!!!!!

blog statement...

i am premiering a new segment called,"the Packers win if???" this week... note:i got idea from Packers.com...

a night at Lambeau Field...

Lambeau Field and the "Frozen Tundra" is lit up with turf growing lights,as they prepare for Sunday night, when the Seahawks come calling, for their game... i would love to be sitting inside the bowl of Lambeau Field, dreaming of another DA BEARS loss(a 50-0 rout)(laughing)...

quote of the week...

more stories of the road...

how many people have seen both ends of the Grand Canyon??? well,i am one of those people, who honestly have seen Lake Powell,Arizona, and Lake Mead/Hoover Dam,Nevada/Arizona(the dam dissects the border)... i actually walked from Boulder City,Nevada,to within two miles of Hoover Dam(the road to the dam is a two lane road with no walkway for people, the last two miles),before... trivia:what city in Nevada is not allowed by law to have gambling in their city limits??? the reason is simple:the city was built, because of the construction of Hoover/Boulder Dam... in an agreement with the U.S. Government, the city agreed not to have gambling... right there are two huge hints to the answer... one, two, three, the answer is Boulder City,folks... now, there is a huge bridge across the Colorado, and the Hoover Dam is limited to auto traffic, with no trucks allowed... on the day that i walked from Boulder City to Hoover Dam,it was a cloudless day, about 80 degrees, and just beautiful, and then when i got to the dam(a ride from someone with Montana license plates),i then walked another six miles into the beautiful Arizona desert... no one stops to just look at the scenery, but folks,it is very beautiful... another walk i took was from Carson City to South Lake Tahoe/Stateline,Nevada/California was just as beautiful,too... one day,i got very very tired of being in Carson(locals call it that),i deeply wanted to get home to Sacramento, and i did not want to go through Reno, again(i got very tired of that route),so i decided to walk to South Lake Tahoe, south out of Carson, and i did... it took most of the morning, and i got to a tunnel that did not have walkways for people,so i waited for a ride(not long),and then got into Stateline, and somehow finagled(a church helped)a bus ticket home... i remember the walk on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, from Carson, was a very dusty one,but honestly South Lake Tahoe looked absolutely beautiful... the sight of Lake Tahoe made my day,i have to admit... i remember the donut shop/bus station in Rancho Cordova, but i was so tired when i got back to Sacramento that i slept the rest of the day/night... i do not remember where, but i didn't care one bit... i was home, and that is all what matters... note:even a couple of years ago,i ran into a couple who wanted to go to Sacramento,at Circus, and I-80 was slower than crud, because of the construction that was being done,so i told them of the route out of Carson(U.S. 50),and they took it home...

NFL history...

Peyton Manning joined Brett Favre in the 70,000 yards passing club,in the NFL,tonight, against the Kansas City Chiefs... note:there is a third member of that group,if you count Warren Moon, who also had six years,in the CFL,and he won five Grey Cups in a row, with the Edmonton Eskimos...Moon was a phenom passing the football, when he came out of the University of Washington,he was undrafted... he signed with the Eskimos, before the draft, but NFL teams had option to draft him,but did not draft him(for team rights, when he came to the NFL)... he was the first true free agent, when he returned to the NFL,signed with the Houston Oilers, and had a very good NFL career... he is the only player, along with Bud Grant, the former Minnesota Vikings' head coach, that is in both the CFL Hall of Fame, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame...

my opinion,do not like it,tough!!!!

this is my opinion:last week's game for the Seahawks, against the St Louis Rams, did not impress me one bit... their vaunted "Legion of Boom" defense really sucks, and their team offense did very little... the fact that Kam Chancellor is holding out for more money is really hurting the team defense.... they gave up more points in a game(34),than in a game in the entire 2014 season... the game was very, very ugly, for the Seahawks... if,honestly,Chancellor does not play against the Packers, and Aaron Rodgers, the Seahawks are in very deep trouble, because Chancellor is the heart of that defense, and perhaps, one of the best players in the NFL... Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL,and even though, the Packers did not play well on team offense,or defense(at least,in the first half),they won,in Chicago, honestly, going away, with only a garbage touchdown,by DA BEARS,in last minute,to make score respectable... i have deep respect, but "hatred",for the Seahawks(see ranking of team "hatred"),because of who they have on team offense (Marshawn Lynch,Jimmy Graham, and Russell Wilson),and Tyler Lockett(special teams)... the game is at Lambeau Field, not Century Link Field,in Seattle,so the "12's" will have to suffer through a very tough game,Sunday night...

Favre news...

no surprise!!! Brett Favre is among the nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2016...

Packers' trivia...

how many games have the Packers won in a row, against the Seahawks,at Lambeau Field??? a)one,b)three,c)five,or d)eight... a,b,d,are wrong... the record for the Packers at home, against the Seahawks,is 8-3,with a current streak of five wins in a row...

commentary,on team "hatred"...

i "hate" the Seattle Seahawks almost as much as DA BEARS and every other NFC North division team(i ranked them 9th,or 10th,on my team "hatred" rankings last season)... you may ask why 9th??? simply because,i believe i ranked DA BEARS one through six,or maybe one to five, but again, they are DA BEARS!!!!!! the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings are ahead of the Seahawks, and i believe that the Lions are sixth and seventh,on that "hatred" list, and the Vikings are eighth on that list... after last year's brutal NFC Championship loss to the Seahawks,i may have readjusted that "hatred" rankings, but i know that the Seahawks are right behind the three NFC North division teams,so numbers of the ranked teams do not matter one bit to me...

NFC North division game...

San Francisco 49ers 20,Minnesota Vikings 3... Vikings SUCK... on route to "2,500 yards"(his words),Adrian Peterson rushed for a miserable 31 yards on 10 carries... 49ers sacked quarterback Teddy Bridgewater five times...

commentary...

i deeply respect every NFC North division team, but i also deeply "hate" them, because i want to "bury" them into the turf of Lambeau Field... they may be talented teams, but i have a rather nasty edge, when the Packers play every NFC North division team... i may go overboard about DA BEARS(and i admit it),but the edge that i have for DA BEARS is exactly the same for every other NFC North team... however,if i was pissed off for six weeks(every week for division games),i would be one pissed off person all season,so i tamp it down for the other NFC North division teams, but always believe that my "hatred" for DA BEARS is exactly the same,period... the Detroit Lions and Packers have the longest continuous rivalry, since 1930,in the NFL,because the strike year of 1982(a 57 day strike)wiped out both Packers/DA BEARS games, and made it a nine game season,so i "hate" all NFC North division teams equally,folks...

commentary...

the final words on the game with DA BEARS:true,Matt Forte rushed for 141 yards in the game, but folks,he had only 36 rushing yards in the second half, which forced quarterback Jay Cutler to try to win game on his own,and he was "turn the ball over" Cutler, instead of a disciplined quarterback, because it is also true that he had only one interception, but folks,it was the most critical play of the game for DA BEARS... he threw it short, and Packers' linebacker Clay Matthews made a great play, and ran it back 65 yards to the Bears' 35,where he was lassoed by the shoulder pad/neck... so,even though,Forte had a 100+ yard rushing day,Cutler was just simply bad at critical times, and it led to the sixth straight loss for DA BEARS,and by the way,DA BEARS REALLY SUCK!!!!!

breaking NFL news...

NFL.com reports that Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver Dez Bryant has broken a bone in his foot... they say he will be out four to six weeks...

beatdowns of the week...

Tennessee Titans 42,Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14... Marcus Mariota had four touchdowns... Cincinnati Bengals 33,Oakland Raiders 13... Bengals went off to 33-0 lead, and two garbage touchdowns,by Raiders make it look respectable...

NFC North Division game...

San Diego Chargers 33,Detroit Lions 28... the Lions choke big time, and lose...

blog statement...

there are two beatdowns of the week... they are early in fourth quarter,so i will post them later on...

NFC West upset...

St. Louis Rams 34,Seattle Seahawks 31,overtime... Marshawn Lynch stopped on 4th and one,to hand Rams the win...

Packers' game score...

Packers 31,Bears 23... Clay Matthews intercepted DA BEARS' quarterback Jay Cutler at a crucial time, and Davante Adams recovered an onside kick to ice game... James Jones had two touchdown catches, and had a critical pass interference penalty called,as Eddie Lacy ran in from the three yard line,to give the Packers enough cushion to beat DA BEARS,with 1:54 left in the game... by the way,DA BEARS REALLY SUCK!!!!!

another one to the eternal court...

NBA Hall of Fame member Moses Malone has died in his sleep,at age 60... prayers to his family...

USC Trojans game score...

USC Trojans 59,Idaho Vandals 9... good game for the Trojans,in preparing for the Pac-12,and other games...

Packers/DA BEARS game notes...

final notes on Packers/DA BEARS game:Aaron Rodgers:12-3,against DA BEARS,including the game that he got tackled by Shea McClellin,on first drive of game, and Rodgers broke his clavicle... he tried to gator roll Rodgers(in my opinion, tried to injure him, again),in final game of season, and received a personal foul that was very critical to the Packers, that day,and really pissed off everyone,on Packers' sideline... Jay Cutler is 1-10,as a starting quarterback for DA BEARS,against the Packers, and in those 10 losses,he has thrown 22 interceptions... Matt Forte has only had three 100 yard rushing games, against the Packers... DA BEARS SUCK!!!!

comments...

getting pumped up for Packers'/DA BEARS game, tomorrow morning... DA BEARS SUCK!!!! GO PACK GO!!!!

insults at a referee,with a twist...

Longtime NBA referee Dick Bavetta was inducted into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame,Friday... as he was inducted into the Hall,he lined up the crowd into three sections, and instructed each section repeat this, one at the time,"Oh no","Bad call",and "Get a job"... funny and a class act!!!! by the way,DA BEARS SUCK!!!!!!

Packers' news...

Packers' wide receiver Randall Cobb did practice today, though limited... DA BEARS SUCK!!!!!

Packers/DA BEARS game notes...

the NFL must "hate" the Packers, because for the first time, since 1977-1979,the Packers open up on the road for the third season in a row,and this game in Chicago will be the first opening game in Chicago, since 1981... it will be the first road divisional game to open a season, since 2005,when the Packers visited the Detroit Lions... home sweet home, for the Packers??? the Packers have won five straight games at Soldier Field(including playoffs),and six of the last seven games,there... the Bears lead the all-time series,93-91-6(including 1-1,in playoffs)... the Packers have held the Bears to less than 20 points/per game,in seven of the last eight games,at Soldier Field... this will be the 53rd game between the teams in September... record:24-24-4... since 2002,the Bears and Packers have accounted for eleven NFC North division titles,in the thirteen seasons... Packers have eight, and the Bears have three(of the eleven NFC North division titles)... this is the lone NFC North divisional game, for the Packers, until the second half of the season, when the Packers have five divisional games,in last eight games.... by the way,DA BEARS SUCK!!!!

comment...

starting tomorrow,i will talk about the Packers/Bears game in more detail,as i will do every week of this season... by the way,DA BEARS SUCK!!!!

commentary...

in a gathering of season ticket holders last week,Packers' head coach Mike McCarthy said that the Packers would "kick Chicago's ass"(exact quote)... now,he says that it was all in fun... note:really too bad that he backed off that comment, because,as an owner/shareholder,i really miss the bitterness of the rivalry, because you,as a team, should want to just "bury" the other team,if you can... the Bears are the only team in the NFL who has a winning record,in that long rivalry...honestly,i had no trouble in hearing that the very first thing that former DA BEARS' head coach Lovie Smith said in his first press conference as coach that he wanted to beat the Packers, because that is a rivalry that goes back 95 seasons... by the way,DA BEARS SUCK!!!!! GO PACK GO!!!!

another story "on the road"...

like i mentioned earlier on this blog,i traveled most of the days in the last seven years, while "on the road"... honestly,if you had to find me,there was no chance to do that, because i kept moving, almost every day, except on those rare days that i decided to settle down, like time in Washington state,or time in Orange County,California... most of that time,i traveled from Reno,to Las Vegas,to Albuquerque,to Denver,to Salt Lake,or a combination of those cities... occasionally,i would go to Boise,Seattle,Portland, towns in Utah,Colorado,Nebraska,Missouri,Iowa, going through the Eastern United States,Chicago,Cleveland,Sandusky,Akron,Scranton,Newark,New York City,New Haven, and Waterbury, towns in the Hudson Valley... why mentioned all those towns??? simply, because every single city, area of a state that i mentioned has a story attached to it that is funny,and/or strange... some of the stories you know, some you will know, and yet, they are fascinating to remember... on the first of two major trips, back East to visit a dear friend,on the way home,i got lost for four days in the Hudson Valley, outside of White Plains... after a couple days,i decided to explore the area... i was on a county bus line, and i found myself outside of Ossining, and staring at the infamous "Sing Sing" state prison, and i was in Peekskill, and Poughkeepsie, walking around that area, and actually enjoying the scenery, because, sometimes,i just wanted to relax, and spend some quiet time by myself... not all the time "on the road" was a bummer,it was a pleasure, because some of the people that i met were simply sweethearts, they would leave you alone, and i really enjoyed that quiet time in lower New York State, because being "on the road" most of the time was a drag, but on those rare occurrences,it was really pleasant... i remember that time, and really loved it,at that time, because soon,i knew that i was back "on the road",and i cringed...

a kid who was a wrestling fan...

i am watching the WWE Royal Rumble from 2013,but folks, that is not what i am going to talk about... i have been a pro wrestling fan since i was 10 or 11,when i remember Pat Patterson, the High Chief Peter Maivia,Rocky Johnson,Pepper Gomez,"the Crippler " Ray Stevens, Mr. Saito, and Mr Fuji used to wrestle in the San Francisco "territory",promoted by the great Roy Shirer,at the old Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, and Hank Renner had a weekly wrestling show, named,"Big Time Wrestling",which i saw live(it was taped on a Wednesday)at KTXL-TV 40,in Sacramento... i had a nervous elbow that when i was excited it would move sideways, without me really knowing it,and unfortunately,it almost got me beaten up at the rasslin' show at the Memorial Auditorium, because i got excited at the show once, actually hit some chap in the side of the head about twelve times with my elbow, and he was mad as hell,so when he turned around to yell,he saw a disabled kid(me),and my uncle Bob(UNC),who explained to him that i had done it by sheer accident, and we deeply apologized to him... a memory that i will never forget, and to this day,i am still sorry for it...

commentary...

day off... "Idaho Spud" time... note:i have to say that i deeply respect every team in the NFC North Division, but i "hate" every team... so,folks,it is BEARS WEEK,next week... expect me to find a shovel to "bury" DA BEARS,and get rather nasty in my edge, next week...  like i started last season:one, two, three, everybody say,DA BEARS SUCK,DA BEARS SUCK,and finally,DA BEARS SUCK!!!!

Packers' preseason game score...

Packers 38,Saints 10... Packers score 38 straight points, after Saints grabbed a 10-0 first quarter lead, and the game was fun to listen to,and third string quarterback Brett Hundley was 16 completions, for 23 passes, for 236 yards, with 4 touchdown passes... note:i saw Aaron Rodgers on the sideline,in a Packers' tee shirt, and said,"that is the only time that i love to see him there"... i then laughed to myself...

cash for treatment.... no way!!!!

ever get turned away from medical treatment, after offering to pay cash??? i actually did,once... i went to a well-known chain of medical offices, around Sacramento, with an injured foot,i believe, and after showing them my insurance, which they refused out of hand,i regrouped... that did not surprise me,but when i offered to pay cash, they gave me a very lame excuse that when they rejected my insurance, they could not accept the almighty US dollar, for payment, and folks,i had moolah to pay for most any treatment that they wanted to give me... the argument that we had was memorable, because i had been there years before, with the exact same insurance, and was accepted, but folks,i understood about the insurance rejection,no doubt, but i just could not believe that they simply refused cash on the barrelhead... they even threatened to call the police on me for offering to pay cash for the treatment... well, folks,i,many times, told them loudly, where to stick it,in the stupidest argument that i have ever had with anyone... some companies just do not want to make cash...

comments on Brady's case...

in my opinion, the NFL just screwed up everything about the Tom Brady suspension... apparently,Judge Berman agreed that the disciplinary process in the case was flawed,in not giving Brady enough notice on what the suspension would be,and how the Wells Report was put together,in not allowing some necessary witnesses to testify... Judge Berman said that no player was aware of the deflation of footballs,in his judgment... that blew a huge hole in the NFL's case... so,folks, the NFL will appeal, because this would jeopardize NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's disciplinary power in the collective bargaining agreement(CBA)...

comment...

as for the vacating of Brady's four game suspension,i really expected the result...

Breaking NFL news...

U.S. District Judge Richard Berman,in New York, has nullified,or vacated,New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady's four game suspension... expect the NFL to appeal, but also expect Brady to play, against the Pittsburgh Steelers,in week one, next week... if the NFL wins on appeal, later on in the season,Brady will serve the four game suspension,at that time, but, again, who knows???

Packers' news...

New Orleans Saints/Packers,tonight... note:roster has to be down to 53 players,by Saturday...

story "on the road"...

this is a very strange night... my lower back is acting up like someone hit me with a two by four, and so the pain reminds me of time "on the road" that i spent... it is 1:45 am,and i am sitting straight up in this chair, trying to ease the pain... i spent many a night "on the road" sitting in a diner and in pain... one story comes to mind:i had traveled to Salt Lake City(locals call it just Salt Lake),with an very infected, torn up,and full of gangrene pus, ankle, and i was trying to make through this one night, with my foot up on the seat, but i fell short of my goal,as the waitress noticed my ankle about sunrise, and she told me to go to the hospital, and so i limped fourteen blocks to LDS Hospital, just as the sun rose over the mountains,in downtown Salt Lake... what happened was that i had rubbed my ankle bone raw,as i traveled... as i got to the hospital, the attendant asked me if i had insurance, and i said,"in California"... she took one look at my ankle, and said to me,"the hospital would pay for my treatment of my ankle"... i spent four mornings in the hospital having IV's of antibiotics, put into my veins,as i spent a week,in a medical shelter, recovering from the near disaster of having my foot amputated... i will never forget the kindness of the hospital staff,so this pain in my back is only a minor annoyance to me... people think that my time "on the road" was memorable, and it was,but sometimes,it was very painful,as this story was,in my memory....
