stories of time "on the road"...
i am up with a slight upset stomach, but will be just fine... i believe eating some oatmeal turned my stomach... way to go,oatmeal!!!! (laughing)... i am listening to "My Guy",by Mary Wells... a great rendition,by Whoopi Goldberg,in the movie,"Sister Act",by the way... funny thing is that the opening was done at Fitzgerald's,in Reno,at the casino bar stage... yours truly had spent so much time there that i could still remember every inch of that casino bar and casino at the very time of the production of the movie, even though,i was not there at the time... am thinking about people who i dearly miss, and listening to 60's music, which makes me very calm, and i am tapping the table in rhythm to certain songs... the last time i was in Fitzgerald's in Las Vegas,i got tossed out "for sleeping, and being drunk"... unfortunately,it was 2:30 in the afternoon, and i was just listening to music played on a piano, sipping Dr Pepper,in a Big Gulp cup,and i had been gambling off and on,that afternoon... i was waiting for the Reno bus,at 7:30.. well,a security guard i knew from Reno, saw me,and simply tossed me out... their absolute right to do so,but i cursed her out backward and forward,as i left, but then i got pissed, and walked in back a hour later, and explained the situation to her supervisor, who really did understood my situation, and just asked me politely to leave, after talking to me... i told her that i had a bus ticket,to Reno,so i was leaving town,so no problem... i even had the Big Gulp cup in my hand when i talked to her... that was my last time in Las Vegas,so it was memorable... hope you get a chuckle from this... now,for the very first time i was in Vegas:i tried to hitchhike for five days out of Las Vegas, and EVERY TIME,i got a ride, the person drove me back to the Horseshoe Casino, within ten feet from where i started... after five miserable days in 105+ degree heat,i finally got out of town by walking down the Strip, and finding the last on-ramp going south to Orange County, and Los Angeles,so there was no way to circle back into town... that started the adventure in Marina Del Rey,but i already have talked about that,on this blog... now for the train to Snoozeville,folks...
