this blogpost is about Aaron Collins,who died on July 7,2012... he wrote his brother a note shortly before he died... one thing that he wanted his brother to do:buy a pizza,and give a tip to the waiter(not your average 25% tip),but an amazing tip of $500-(not a misprint),to show that people like the waiter,or waitress unexpected kindness... one time,Aaron had a miserable dining experience,and still gave the waiter,or waitress a $50- tip... so remember that dose of kindness to people...

Philadelphia Eagles' team analysis for the 2012-2013 NFL season...

"Dream team",no more? the Philadelphia Eagles were 8-8,last year,but won last four games,last season,and it seemed that they were getting better,later on,last season... they were just awful early last season,but honestly,with all the free agents they had,and a new defensive coordinator,who was their offensive coordinator the year before,in 2010... with that much turnaround on their roster,and their coaching staff,they were a trainwreck waiting to happen,and with a dysfunctional,but very talented offense(not everybody was happy,griping about things)and with Michael Vick being injured some of last year(he has missed some of the past few years,because of his playing style,and injuries),they were tough to play,because you did not know what team you were playing,from week to week,except the last four games,because they seemed to gel,late in the year... so if they can stay healthy,they may be in the playoff hunt,and possibly win the NFC East,even with the Super Bowl Champions New York Giants in that division,because honestly,they have enough talent to win their division,especially on defense,but with Jason Babin,out with injury(as of today,they say Babin will out 2-3 weeks,with a partially torn calf muscle),they may have a tougher time fixing that hole,if Babin is really hurt,more than they say,but with a talented defense,they will be tough to beat,and watch out,NFC East!!!!!!

Kansas City Chiefs' team analysis,for the 2012-2013 NFL season...

the Kansas City Chiefs were 7-9,last year... last in AFC West,but all three teams ahead of them,were 8-8,last year(tight division)... they gave the Green Bay Packers their only regular season loss,19-14,last year... they lost Eric Berry,Tony Moeaki,and Jamaal Charles,to major injury,within the first three weeks,of the 2011-2012 NFL season,so they only scored 212 points all season,which really sucked,and the Chiefs' defense,which did harass Aaron Rodgers all day,in their best game,of last season,and were very good most of the year,but with Eric Berry,not in the defensive backfield,due to injury,they got worn down,later in the season... all three have been very good early in training camp,and should be starters,come the regular season,and the Chiefs should improve,and really contend for the AFC West division title... only question:can Matt Cassel return to his 2010 form,as quarterback??? if he can,the Chiefs will be better,this upcoming season,than last season...

RGIII-MANIA!!!!!! the Washington Redskins were 5-11 last year,but the hype about Redskins first round pick Robert Griffith III has been like he is the best thing since Coke!!!! he has not taken a NFL snap,yet,but pundits are hard-selling his potential,as a NFL quarterback... last year,the Redskins had a very good defense,and offensive line,but their receiving corps was one of the worst,but injuries took out their best receiver(Fred Davis)early in the season,and their quarterback tandem(Rex Grossman,and John Beck)were simply putrid,as quarterback,so Griffith III is a definite upgrade... Tim Hightower,and Roy Helu,Jr. should steady the running game this season... in a ironic twist,the Redskins did beat the Super Bowl Champions New York Giants,twice,last year,but honestly had only three other wins,last year,so they will improve,but their record may not show much of an improvement,with the Philadelphia Eagles,the Dallas Cowboys,and the Giants in their division,their improvement may not be record-wise,and it will be a major dogfight in the NFC East... question:will the Redskins improve enough to fight for the division crown? no... too much talent on the other teams,and not too much of an improvement,talent-wise,for the Redskins,but that division,like i said,is going to be a dogfight,folks...

the Miami Dolphins were 6-10,last season,replaced their head coach,was 4-4,at home,and actually had a 1,000 yard rusher(Reggie Bush-1,086 yards),but can he be an every down back,and back up his own boast,of leading the NFL,in rushing,for the 2012-2013 NFL season... they have Matt Moore,and David Garrard fighting for the starting quarterback job,with rookie Ryan Tannehill backing them up,but everyone knows that you do not pay Tannehill first round money,to sit,so expect him to play some this year,and be the starting quarterback starting next year... the Dolphins' defense actually played very well,because the Dolphins scored more points,on offense,than they gave up points,on defense(329-316),last season,played competitively,beat the Buffalo Bills twice,and beat the New York Jets,in week seventeen,giving the Jets,a sour taste in their mouths,yay!!! with the Buffalo Bills,the New York Jets,and the New England Patriots,in AFC East division,they will fight for third place in that division,if that...

this is not easy to admit,but the last year has been very unique for me... people have no idea how unique last year was to me... first of all,my outlook on life changed on 7 Septembre 2011,when the KHL Lokomotiv Jaroslavl plane crash happened,because it simply taught me that life can be fleeting,and short... people think that life goes on,but when you see a literal funeral mass in a hockey arena,with about 20,000 people being so quiet,that you could hear a pin drop,and even though the mass may have been in Russian,i will never forget the other team that they were supposed to play that night,skate out,in full uniform,and around placards with every player's name,including coaches,on them,and then silently shoot a puck into their opponent's net(example for America would be a bell ringing ten times,for a ten count for fallen sports heroes,or celebrities,when at a sporting event)...
i was lucky to see my Green Bay Packers win fifteen,of sixteen games,last season,after winning Super Bowl XLV,and winning nineteen straight games,in the process,but a game is only a game,and they lost in the playoffs... i became part of the public ownership,of the Packers,right before Christmas Day,2011,and am very proud of it...
the Detroit Red Wings(my other team i root for,big-time,and also have a blog for them)had an interesting season,too,last season-won a NHL record twenty-three straight home games,but injuries to key players shortened their season,in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs,last season,and a game is only a game...

New Orleans Saints' quarterback Drew Brees filed his own affidavit,in support of suspended New Orleans Saints' linebacker Jonathan Vilma in Second District Court... it is third affidavit in support of Vilma,in his fight to have suspension vacated,or get a temporary restraining order,to play in 2012-2013 NFL season,by Judge Helen Berrigan... basically,it was another "cry in the wilderness",and a total character whitewash of Vilma,noting his charitable work,in the community of New Orleans,by Vilma,and saying basically that Vilma is man of high moral character(paraphrasing the affidavit)... i do not doubt that he is all that,but my only question is:why it did take three years for the NFL "bounty" investigation to finish its work... it was because the Saints lied to,cheated,and basically told coaches,and players,"to get all your ducks in order",and told all to lie to NFL security throughout that time,while under investigation,by the NFL...
Mr. Vilma,it is a longshot for you to be on the field this season,unless you win,in court,and that little fact disgusts me,because you claim innocence,and the moral high ground,but you sued the Commissioner,and the NFL,for defamation,ruining your reputation,and yet,your big mouth got you into this mess,and you ruined your own reputation,by opening your mouth,smearing the NFL,and Commissioner Goodell,by claiming a bias towards him... this is getting stupid:there have been so many NFL players being arrested,and/or suspended this off-season.... most of them are young players,who have no discipline... i find it demeaning that honored NFL players go out,get drunk,show a gun to someone,get arrested for marijuana possession,crash a car,simply be stupid,and get arrested,period... various players have done the above;all this off-season... where is common sense,and sanity??? pundits have talked about the Chicago Bears,and the Detroit Lions more than the Green Bay Packers this off-season... that is simply all right with Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers right now,but the scary part about the Packers this upcoming season is that the team who went 15-1,last season,is mostly intact... i admit that the defense was horrid last season,and i will give you two reasons for it... the losses of Cullen Jenkins(to Philadelphia Eagles),and injury(and later retirement),of Nick Collins,which took the literal heart out of the defense,but honestly the biggest drag on the defense was simply the fact that the Packers' offense was so potent... remind you of one fact,folks:how many games did the Packers win,last season??? fifteen,true... were the Packers ever behind,after three quarters,when they won a game,last season??? answer is a simple no... that meant that the Packers' defense gave up most of those horrid number of yards,to every team they beat,in the third and fourth quarters,of games that were basically out of reach,which meant teams were passing the football "around the yard",like the teams were playing ping pong... fatigue also played a major part of the defense's decline,because the Packers' offense would,for example,play for five,to nine plays,for,let us say,seventy five yards,with a touchdown,being the end result,and take only about three minutes of game time,and then the tired Packers' defense would slog through a nine minute drive by the opponent... you play that way for seventeen weeks/sixteen games,you will be very mentally,and physically tired,and the simple fact that they lost two key defensive players,from 2010 Super Bowl XLV Championship team,and by the time,and team rust(from clinching NFC North,so soon)honestly did the Packers in,against the New York Giants,in the playoffs... how they balance that out for sixteen games,and honestly be a better team*,overall,from last year is the $64,000 question,for the Packers...
*overall record honestly does not matter,because the Packers are considered a playoff team,and the key to their season,is their road to the Lombardi Trophy,through the playoffs...

the Chicago Bears must be smoking something... first,Brian Urlacher says that the Bears are better than the Green Bay Packers,and the Detroit Lions,overall,and now receiver Earl Bennett has said that quarterback Jay Cutler is better than the Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers... what hogwash!!! however,i will say that both the Detroit Lions,and the Bears are good teams this season,but remember Brian,and Earl,now your team has improved,and that is good,and yet,BOTH the Lions,and the Packers also have improved,along with the Minnesota Vikings,who can beat a team,or two... if you honestly believe your team,this season,is the best team,in the NFC North,just go out and prove it,and "be real",in telling people that Cutler is better than Rodgers,because the pedigree is not there,yet,for Cutler... i am not saying that Cutler is not a very good NFL quarterback,because the potential is there to be very good... i mean that every quarterback in the NFC North can be very good,including Christian Ponder,who has shown flashes of brilliance,in his short NFL career,with the Vikings... final thought:the NFC North will be a real nasty dogfight this season...

Adrian Peterson got arrested last night on a charge of resisting arrest,in Houston,Texas,not funny,but the way that it happened,is funny... during a bar's closing,police asked Peterson to leave the bar,as he ordered some water,so this officer had words with Peterson,and as Peterson was leaving the bar with a bouncer,the officer jumped on his back,and rode him like a horse,i imagine,until police handcuffed him...
my opinion:the officer did not like what Peterson said,and basically acted like a moronic idiot(and a big shot),so he arrested him,"playing cowboys and indians"... way to go,Houston Police,and looking like idiots across the country!!!

free agent center Jeff Faine was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,in March,but Faine did something that not many players do when released,by a NFL team,at least not in public... he complimented general manager,Mark Dominik for his honesty,in releasing him,and he did it with class... U.S. District Judge Helen Berrigan has consolidated both the Vilma defamation suit,against NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell,and the NFLPA lawsuit,involving the three other suspended players involved in the "bounty" scandal,into one lawsuit... hey folks,this is going to end rather ugly,and players being suspended,and their reputations basically ruined,because the NFL owners really are being embarrassed,by this circus,and they have very long memories...

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has asked a federal judge to dismiss Jonathan Vilma's defamation lawsuit against him,basically saying that Vilma is trying to get around the imposition of the "conduct detrimental" clause(Article 46;section one,page 204),as in "Commissioner Discipline",and the year long suspension,and that,"it is an improper attempt to circumvent the mandatory,and binding dispute resolution procedures,of the current collective bargaining agreement(CBA)"... in brief,he included 715 pages,of exhibits,including the 317 page CBA,and 237 excerpted pieces of the NFL's bylaws,and constitution...
Vilma amended his lawsuit,asking for a temporary injunction,to have time to rehab his knee,with Saints' trainers,and doctors...

NFLPA has filed a lawsuit supporting Anthony Hargrove,Will Smith,and Scott Fujita... it tells that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell violated the current collective agreement(CBA),by showing publicly that the three players took part in "bounty" program,before ruling on their appeals,and asks judge to basically void suspensions,and earlier arbitrator's rulings,and give it to another arbitrator,to rule on the appeals... all three players have been suspended from eight games(Hargrove),four games(Smith),and three games(Fujita)... well boys,take your lumps,be tougher than a bunch of divas,and just play football... to the NFLPA,just go away...

i will not talk about the Saints "bounty" scandal,unless things change,like a lawsuit in court... what bothers me is that the players involved did not take part in the investigation,talk to NFL security,or basically give the NFL reasons not to do this,and have said that they did not do this,over,and over... i have absolutely no sympathy for any of the players involved,because they gave the NFL no reason,and simply no choice,in doing what the NFL did... the players have badmouthed the NFL,and claimed that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell have tainted their reputations,in suspending them... Goodell has followed the protocol,in the current bargaining agreement(CBA),signed by the NFL,and NFLPA last year,and the players involved have done nothing to help themselves,lawyered up,and just complained about no evidence,against them... however,there are reports that the NFL has 18,000 pages of evidence,in the overall "bounty" report,and the players involved have come up with very little to refute anything in the three year NFL investigative report,but have gone to court to try to smear the Commissioner,denigrate,and belittle the NFL... so,to the players involved,take your lumps,get back on the field,and just play football,and finally to Mr. Jonathan Vilma,you are someone who have tarnished your own reputation,by opening up your big mouth,and if you do not believe that,you are dead wrong... if you had been humble,and contrite,in dealing with this situation,then being a real odious jerk,you would not be suspended for this season*

as a member of the public ownership(shareholder),of the Green Bay Packers,i would never say,or do anything,to denigrate the NFL,or the Packers,but i will criticize them... this is a first person critique of the team:having steamrolled our way to Super Bowl XLV,winning the last six games,like we did,and then winning the first thirteen games of the 2011-2012 NFL season(nineteen straight games)actually gave us a sense of being invincible,and "just give the Lombardi to us" sense of entitlement,and a massive ego(me included,have to admit),but the bad,and disgusting,37-20 loss to the Giants actually was a wake up call to our team,for this season...
i would hate to play us this season,because we will have a big chip on our collective shoulders,and actually a sense of being humble,and yet determined,to get to Super Bowl XLVII(we may not get there),but we will be a better team,regardless of team record(who can improve a 15-1 record???)... we have said very little,in preparing for this upcoming season,in the press,except to say that we will be better,period,and the pundits have put a few teams(Detroit Lions,New York Giants,Philadelphia Eagles,New England Patriots,Baltimore Ravens,and the San Francisco 49ers)ahead of us in their talk about better teams than us... they even believe that the Lions may win the NFL North(if they are to be believed),and even a member of the Chicago Bears' defense(Brian Urlacher)says that the Bears will be better than us... let them all talk,because they will have to back up their boasts,and that will not be too easy... as for us,we know that the season is sixteen games long,having ups and downs throughout,but we will be ready,and just a little meaner in our approach,in preparing for the season,and being a very tough team to play,week in,and week out,and even win,or lose...

this is a commentary on the New Orleans Saints:if anyone believes that the Saints will not be a very good team,think again!!!!!! i expect them to be an elite team,going to the playoffs,but the coaching snafu,and the two players that will be suspended(barring an court injunction,it looks like),does make it tougher on the team,but with Drew Brees(who i am beginning to dislike,for his big mouth,not his talent)playing offense with the Saints,they will be tough to beat... do you think that he is going to take anything other than success,in his role,as Saints' quarterback??? to the pundits,i say,watch out,with you say about the Saints,because if you do not respect them,like i really do,they will make you eat your words,and win games...
