commentary(looking forward to the season)...

this upcoming season is going to be fun and exciting... being a shareholder/owner of the Packers,i expect the Packers to do well, but honestly, expecting too much is a downer,as in winning the Super Bowl every year, but folks, our team on paper is very good... however, only one team can win the Super Bowl every year,as momentum, injuries, and just dumb luck in the bouncing football goes into every game... one tip of a pass and there goes the game... one critical sack,as in the game against New England, forced the Patriots into a long field goal(they missed it),instead of a chip shot, that basically ended the game, right after Ha Ha Clinton-Dix stripped Rob Gronkowski of a sure touchdown catch,as he hit the ground,in the 26-21 win for the Packers,or going into Buffalo,on a five game winning streak, and playing the worst regular season game,of the year, and laying an egg,in losing 21-13,to the Bills... the defense that day was stellar, but the vaunted high-powered offense, did absolutely nothing, but look like pee wee football,no doubt... i wanted to vomit, and literally went to lunch with Mike and Diana, that day,in the second period... what a stinkfest that day... football is just a game, right??? true, and yet,i am going to enjoy the season,as it goes on... bring it on,and root for the Packers!!!!

note to Adrian,and his agent...

NOTE TO NFL:Adrian Peterson wants more money... apparently,he does not care about playing football, and does not feel comfortable playing for the Minnesota Vikings... NOTE TO ADRIAN,AND HIS AGENT:who cares what you want or think??? Adrian, you did something stupid, got suspended for fifteen games, lost your 2014-2015 salary, and now you want some guaranteed money for playing for the Vikings... the Vikings do not have to do anything, because simply, you are under contract to the Vikings,to play for the Vikings this upcoming season... Adrian, you are probably the best running back in the NFL,but you are a real greedy diva, and must hate(laughing)playing football, because you keep talking about money, and nothing else... YO,ADRIAN,just grow up,shut up,and play football!!!!!!!!

commentary...

folks,if you believe that the brutal loss to the Seattle Seahawks,in the NFC Championship game, last season will not affect the Packers, you will be wrong, but not in the way that you may think... people talk about "bad beats"(a term used in poker when you lose your hand,on the river-last card laid down on table),and the loss to the Seahawks was a real "bad beat"... the Packers have gone on from there saying that the game was last year, which is true, but they will use it for motivation throughout the coming up season, especially against the Seahawks,in week two,and then going into the playoffs... even though, they will say that the game will not matter, but forget that because Aaron Rodgers, head coach Mike McCarthy, and the rest of the team will remember the game,no matter what they may say,and they absolutely will have a collective chip on their shoulders to get back there(NFC Championship),and this time, win it... whether they win Super Bowl 50(no roman numerals this year, folks),is a big question, but honestly, the coming up season is going to be fun,and very exciting, and i can not wait... GO PACK GO!!!!!!

a strange night,indeed...

this is a very strange night... again can not sleep... that is not the strange part... things this week are just odd... i am listening to country music that reminded of some people who are always in my heart, but memories are too strong to get any sleep... after a shower that i thought would do the trick,in helping me sleep,i turned on my satellite radio, and here i am,typing this note to everyone but no one,if you know what i mean... my family and my deep loving memories are just flooding through my head, and i miss them every day... what in the world triggered them??? an very odd thing... my old microwave oven blew out a couple of weeks ago,so i have been cooking with pots and pans, and strangely,a friend was remodeling his kitchen,he got tired of the color scheme, then he asked his girlfriend(my best friend),if she needed a microwave... she said no,but then he asked if she knew someone who needed one,and she remembered that i needed one, because of the blown out microwave that occurred a couple of weeks ago,and so,as he bought a new one,he gave his seven month old microwave to me,yesterday... i have a family who would absolutely give you the shirts off their backs, and that is something that my entire family would do... i am a person who has a very deep love for my family, and friends, but get me mad,i am the one person in the family who has the nastiest edge, and i truly do not look like i could hurt a fly,and normally you would be absolutely right, but folks,i simply learned a long time ago not to take any guff from anyone, and yet, being "on the road" teaches you that you need to survive, and honestly,i tried to avoid the fighting, but folks,i kicked some mean backside, literally in the streets,or places that you normally do not fight, like downtown Reno, where i judo-flipped a guy onto the hood of a car, when he wanted to beat up "on the cripple",in line for shelter that night... i learned self-defense from a former Green Beret, while living up in Reno, and one time,i even fought in the middle of a street in Sacramento, where they had to stop traffic,to stop me from kicking this guy's backside(i did anyway)... received a nasty black eye,but the guy ran off like a scolded dog,on his banged up bike, after trying to bully me... i honestly do not like to fight, but when you are the size that i am,and slightly disabled,i truly fight like a rabid dog,and do not care what i have to do to survive... that is what i mean by saying that i have the nastiest edge,in the family... normally,i am the nicest person, but i know that i have seen the other side of myself, and to tell the truth,it is simply not too pretty, but again, honestly,i would not change a thing about myself,folks...

commentary on Memorial Day...

at least one NFL alumnus has the Medal of Honor(the highest military honor given to a soldier, for bravery, and valor)... Jack Lummus, who played for the New York Giants, and was playing the Brooklyn Dodgers(a NFL team, also back then)on December 7th,1941,and during halftime,AP notified the crowd of the attack at Pearl Harbor... the players were not told,at the time... after the NFL Championship game, against the Chicago Bears,he enlisted in the Marine Corps reserve... he was at Imo Jima, charged three pillboxes, killed many Imperial Japanese troops while wounded, and his last recorded words, while in a hospital, was,"the New York Giants lost a pretty good end,today"... well, folks,we lost many good men,period...
Happy Memorial Day!!!!!!!! remembering the sacrifice of the troops on this day....

a wedding and WWE...

a Syracuse,New York couple got married over the weekend... no big news... people get married all the time, right? well, the couple sent an email to WWE headquarters, telling them if they wanted to send wrestlers to their wedding,it would be all right... well,WWE had a show in Syracuse,at the same time,as the wedding... funny thing is that three wrestlers never got the email, and accidentally walked in on the wedding, when they heard noise,at the wrestlers' hotel... R-Truth*,Roman Reigns*,and Jimmy Uso* walked in unannounced, and stayed for 45 minutes during the reception... *WWE trademarked...

correction...

folks,i corrected the previous post... oops,no one's perfect,especially me(laughing)...

note to a NFL player...

to New York Jets' defensive end Sheldon Richardson, bashing fans because they are concerned about him missing OTA's(organized team activities),is rather arrogant... the fans want your team to be very good, and to be arrogant and dismissive of their feelings... i know that you want to enjoy a few more days with your family, but to blast the fans for their concerns is really stupid, because you are acting like a real diva... it makes you look immature, and that is stupid... my opinion:i wish that people would be more humble,if they have money, instead of someone who believes that they are superior to everyone, who has no money, because all people come into the world with nothing, and leave with nothing... be it Bill Gates,Warren Buffett,Steven Spielberg,or me... money may be important, but is just green paper,or coin, and that is simple fact...

commentary...

tired of the NFL,right now... love the Packers,no doubt, but there is really nothing to talk about in the NFL,right now, unless you want to talk about,"the Top 100 players in the NFL",which is so boring that i want to vomit every time i watch it,or a "Hard Knocks"(a HBO series) segment from 2001,featuring the Baltimore Ravens... need a "barf bag",people??? honestly, who cares, folks???

trivia...

the experiment of kicking the PAT from the fifteen yard line the first two weeks of the last season's preseason had a completion percentage of 94.3%(last season's experimental rule change),compared to the PAT completion percentage of last season,of over 99.5%...

Breaking News...

there is going to be a change to kicking the PAT(point after touchdown),in the 2015 NFL season... it will kicked and the ball hiked from the 15 yard line, basically making it a 32 yard field goal, and the two point conversion staying the same, and now the defense can block it and run it back for two points(the NCAA rule)... this is for only one year...

NFL news,and commentary...

i have to applaud New England Patriots' owner Robert Kraft in accepting the league punishment,in the loss of the Patriots' 2016 NFL Draft first round pick, and 2017 NFL Draft fourth round pick, and the $1 million fine... he is a man of his word, and he did it,"for the greater good of the NFL"(his own words)... my opinion:i have been very hard on Mr. Kraft, and i am very proud of his statement... my statement on New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady has not changed, and the simple fact that my personal respect for him has changed:great football player, but personally,a whiner, and, simply a diva...

Monday, May 18, 2015

commentary...

simply said,i am beginning to dislike the Patriots, not because they won Super Bowl XLIX,but because they just will not shut their corporate mouths... i am just very tired about hearing of deflated footballs, and now Patriots' owner Robert Kraft said in an interview that Tom Brady never lied to him, and(paraphrasing)that he trusts him... who, honestly, cares a hoot, and whit, about Mr. Kraft's feelings,period... my opinion:Mr. Kraft, just shut up and do what you said originally:accept the league discipline, and move on... however, you think that the Patriots got hammered, and rightly so,for not giving cooperation to the people who did the Wells Report(basically circled the wagons),and you are pissed about the fact that the league office took into consideration what happened during the "Spygate" scandal early in the decade of the 2000's,in doling out corporate punishment,in the loss of 2016,and 2017 NFL draft picks, and a $1 million fine... honestly,Mr. Kraft, grow up and simply shut your corporate mouths... unfortunately,i believe you may fight this, and ultimately lose, which gives the NFL,and you(the Patriots)a corporate black eye,and that is unfortunate... Mr. Kraft, who is,ultimately,to blame for this??? look in the mirror...

commentary...

truly, this is a very strange day... usually,i watch some television when i wake up,but today,i woke up to the silence of the morning, and decided to leave the television off,for the most part... up to this typing of this blogpost,i have not turned on the television, and i needed to cleanse my body of most everything, and except for some chips and salsa,i have not eaten anything,either... strangely,i am thinking of my childhood,in which i did kid things, and only watched television at night, with my family,so i just shut down most of my technology,am just listening to my SiriusXm radio, just relaxing, and doing some house cleaning,too... (laughing)this is very odd,if you know what i mean, but i do not care... i guess that i really needed some old-fashioned "quiet time"(at least, today),so i am happy just thinking about people that i really miss, and remembering how enjoyable having an old-fashioned day is,if you know what i mean... i will do this again, and that makes me happy... oh yay!!!!!!

blog statement...

day off... not much to talk about the NFL... however,i will say something about the media ripping NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell with his decision on overseeing the appeal of New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady's four game suspension,tomorrow... until then,"Idaho Spud" time... i am just not too talkative today...

to my brother...

i do not talk about my dear brother,Mike, too often, but it is time that i let him know how much i care, love, and respect him... growing up,i must have been a pest to him, because i followed him everywhere i could... even though i was the older brother,by just under a year,i really looked up to him, because he honestly looked after me,in ways that i can not describe, and i appreciated it more than i could ever say... he spent more than a few days suspended from school, along with his best friend Walter, for beating up kids who would make fun of me... in fact,Walter put a kid in a garbage can,one time as i walked by,and then did something which, let me say, that was disgusting... let me say that the kid had to go home and change clothes, but my brother was the person who looked after me growing up... his high school academic career was spotty the first two years,to be kind, but my dear departed mother sat him down and told him that he was going to summer school, and do it until he graduated, and he graduated with Mom's boot up his backside, basically on time... he became an electrician, and then decided to go back to college... he had two years at American River College, and then somehow, got into the University of Southern California(worked his butt off),and graduated, while i was "on the road",so i was surprised when i rejoined the family... in fact,i met his wife,Diana,at their wedding... not until then... however, what a ride, since then... he is a high school english teacher(Mr. Shaw),and has a Master's degree... honestly, what a life from a kid who had fewer than fifteen credits his first two years of high school,to a man of letters, and respect,as a teacher... i care, respect, and love you,my brother, more than i can ever say... from a grateful "Crate"...

one for the eternal blues group...

one of my all-time favorite blues artists B.B. King died last night,at age 89... may "Lucille" play forever that Heavenly tune... a great hat tip to great musician!!!!!!!! prayers to his family....

a heartwarming story...

a cancer patient in North Carolina came home from months in the hospital, after rehab, and treatment, and had a problem:no food in refrigerator??? answer:he called 911 for help... unbelievable story, isn't it? yes,but true... 81 year old Clarence Blackmon called 911,in Fayetteville,North Carolina, and asked for food... so the police and the 911 dispatcher came over with food and money to get him through some days... Mr. Blackmon will get a care nurse shortly,to look after him,a couple days/per week... police and 911 do help...

commentary...

am very tired of the NFL,lately, and the simple fact that all the NFL Network is talking of is Tom Brady's suspension, and the Patriots' fine, and loss of draft picks... honestly, who really cares... i would not be surprised if the four game suspension is overturned,or reduced to two games, after Brady's appeal, but honestly who really cares??? i really do not care,at all... to tell you how sick of that i am,i am watching WWE Network(Hulk Hogan training Hillbilly Jim,on an episode of Tuesday Night Titans)... what fun(ha ha)!!!!!! my brain must be mush*(laughing),by now... *have to make fun of myself...

Wednesday, May 13, 2015

commentary...

New England Patriots' owner Robert Kraft is a great owner, but he did say that he,and the Patriots, would accept any league discipline,in the "Deflategate" scandal, and yet, when the league discipline came down($1 million, and loss of two draft picks-a first round,in 2016,and a fourth round,in 2017),he got mad... he seems to be mad about the discipline, and may appeal the discipline... the discipline came down harsh, because, simply, the Patriots did not cooperate with Ted Wells, who wanted to talk to one of their employees a second time... the Patriots lamely said that the employee was interviewed four different times(three times by the NFL league office, but only once by Wells),and arrogantly did not tell the employee of Wells' request... Tom Brady basically did the same arrogant thing,in not turning the relevant e-mails,to Wells, after being assured that his personal e-mails would not made public... in fact,it would have been up to his agent what e-mails would be given to Wells, and Brady still said no... stick to what you say,Mr. Kraft, and stop being a crybaby, and a hypocrite, and Tom,stop being a real diva!!!!!!!!! who cares what they say.... i do not care one whit...

blog statement...

day off... "Idaho Spud" time... perhaps i will talk about the Patriots, what happened, their lost draft picks, and their $1 million fine,tonight... after over twenty four hours of that coverage on NFL.com,i am just tired of the Patriots, and Tom Brady... give me a few hours of recuperating and relaxing, then i will talk about that stuff... perhaps after game seven of the Capitals/Rangers NHL series...

commentary...

as a shareholder/owner of the Green Bay Packers, this is a sad day for the NFL... New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 NFL season... there have been various reactions to his suspension, from shock to bewilderment of how hard it was on Brady... honestly, who cares what people think??? my honest opinion is that he received what he deserved, because it is about the integrity of the NFL,not about what he did,or what happened(the 45-7 final score,of the AFC Championship),or the small fact that the footballs in the game(in the first half)was under-inflated... if the NFL league office can not suspend probably the best quarterback in this era,in Tom Brady, what can the NFL ever do in giving players discipline??? answer to that question is absolutely nothing,period... what gets to me is that Brady was not totally forthcoming with the truth,as outlined in the Wells Report, when it says that in the NFL by-laws that players are required to comply with league investigations, and that Brady showed arrogance in not giving up his relevant e-mails,to the investigators, when assured that his personal e-mails would not be made public, and still he refused their request... the NFL sent everybody a stiff message today,in saying being a celebrity or a star,in the NFL means absolutely nothing,if you mess with the integrity of the NFL,and no matter how small the infraction of the rules,it means absolutely the same,as a big rules violation,as in the New Orleans Saints' "bounty" case... it is the exact same thing,period... PERIOD...

NFL Breaking News...

New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady has been suspended by the NFL,for four games of the 2015 NFL season, barring appeal... Patriots have fined $1 million, and have lost their first round draft pick,in 2016 NFL Draft, and their fourth round draft pick,in 2017 NFL Draft...

what a Trojan treat!!!!!!!!!

a sorority at USC(Southern California) surprised their housekeeper with a GoFundMe-based check of $21,000 to help buy a car... Fannie Randle basically jumped up and down, when Gamma Phi Beta presented their check to her... what Trojan spirit!!!!!!! FIGHT ON!!!!!!!

comment...

will talk later about my thoughts on the Packers' draft...

Packers' sixth round draft picks...

sixth round:three selections:Aaron Ripkowski,FB,Oklahoma;started 17 of 46 games,at Oklahoma;Christian Ringo,defensive end,University of Louisiana-Lafayette;Kennard Backman,TE,Alabama-Birmingham...

comments about Ryan and Hundley...

fourth round draft pick Jake Ryan(All-BIG 10,in 2014)will fortify the inside of the Packers' defense... a good basic linebacker... fifth round draft pick Brett Hundley is a good quarterback, but learning under Aaron Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy will help his development into being a pro quarterback...

Packers' fourth and fifth round draft picks...

fourth round:Jake Ryan LB,University of Michigan;fifth round:Brett Hundley,quarterback,UCLA...

Packers' second and third round draft picks...

second round:Quinten Rollins,CB/Safety,Miami (Ohio):2014 MAC defensive player of the year-seven interceptions, but played only one year of college football, but played four years of college basketball,so an athletic type of player... third round:Ty Montgomery,WR/kick returner,Stanford:scouts say that he is bigger than Randall Cobb(two inches taller, and 20 pounds heavier);returned three kickoffs/punts for touchdown at Stanford;averaged nearly 30 yards/kickoff... Packers need major help on kickoffs/punts/special teams... note:may not be the fans' choices, but i give general manager Ted Thompson the benefit of the doubt...

i will have thoughts on the draft of the Packers tomorrow, after sleeping on it,and then i will have an overall evaluation of the draft of the team tomorrow... i may combine both reports into one, tomorrow night...
