commentary...

it is very odd to tell you that the Packers are not one of the favorites to win the NFC,this season... that distinction goes to Seattle,or San Francisco... however, the 49ers,and Seahawks may be trendy picks to win the NFC and advance to the Super Bowl, but like i have said earlier, rosters do not win Super Bowls, only playing the season determines that fact..... the fact that the Packers are being overlooked may be surprising to some, but not to me... the fact that the Packers' team defense has been not up to snuff, and that includes their running game, the last two years, only tells the pundits that the Packers are being overlooked,in terms of winning the Super Bowl, because the pundits just do not think that the defense or running game will improve that much... however, the Packers will have a more balanced offensive game plan(meaning a better running game),and if the team defense does gel throughout this season, the Packers will be tough to beat... the schedule makers in the NFL offices did not give the Packers any soft games on their schedule(sixth toughest schedule)... if they should get through that tough schedule, roughly intact, the schedule will prove to be a real plus, because they will be battle tested, and with quarterback Aaron Rodgers in control of that potent team offense,i will not be surprised if the Packers are one of the best teams in the NFL... early games against the 49ers and the Washington Redskins(the first two games of the season) will be a bellweather of the season, but expect the Packers to get better throughout the season, because the offense and defense will be inexperienced early on,but they really have very good talent on both sides of the football, and with the quality of the coaching staff, will give the Packers a more balanced team this season, unlike the last two years... the losses of Greg Jennings, and Desmond Bishop may hurt in the short term, but in the long term, the Packers will be better offensively, and especially,on the defensive side of the football... Jennings went to the Minnesota Vikings(big whoop!!!!!),and with Christian Ponder as their quarterback, and an offensive line that needs work, who is going to get him the football down the field??? Desmond Bishop was cut because of injury issues, but honestly with depth on the defensive side of the football,Bishop's release should be smaller,in impact,on the Packers... by the way,the Vikings are Adrian Peterson's team, with him being the engine of the team, and that fact gives the Vikings a legitimate shot at the playoffs, including a shot at the NFC North division crown... let us play the season before we say who is the best team in the NFL...
