to my dear departed mother...

within forty eight hours of my mother's death,in 2008,i bought some blues music(Buddy Guy,John Lee Hooker,James Brown, and B.B. King),which,up to this day,has not been played,a day, except the James Brown boxed set, which i played sometime last year... i was heartbroken the day she died, and the music was a reminder of the days before, and day that she died... however,on her 75th birthday,i decided last week that i would play at least one of the boxed sets to toast her on her birthday... i decided on Buddy Guy,partly because of the packaging of the B.B. King, and John Lee Hooker boxed sets were pristine, and even though i dearly love James Brown(i would crank James up to ear-splitting levels, and i really do not want to go absolutely deaf),i am laughing to myself, and i really feel mom here today, enjoying the music... i am truly do miss her every day,but especially today, because today, her spirit is in my ear, saying,"Great music,C. Ray",and then she would smile, give me a hug,and wiggle her rear end(she did that, when she was extremely happy)... in my tears, right now,i deeply miss her... here is a toast to you,Mom,on your birthday...
