a note of strange happenings...

on this last day of November this year,i woke up with a headache, from sinus pain... it has been a very strange night, and very strange year, because i am listening to jazz music, and some blues music, which even though i have a very good music collection,i do not listen to it very often... listening to jazz music, and blues music does not make it strange, but i have thought about people who i adored growing up,and people who i so deeply miss from my heart... odd thing is when i started this,i was listening to a song by John Coltrane, one of my all-time favorite artists, and i recognized it right off... it was not one of his well known ballads, but people, what a horn he played(tenor saxophone)!!!!!!! for some reason, for most of the last eighteen hours,i have had the television off,and i have just done small things, thought about people who i deeply love, and loved(just being quiet,as i put it),and to tell you the honest truth,i have really enjoyed the quiet time... this night reminded, and still reminds me of who i really am(oh my,someone at Sirius XM must love John Coltrane, because there is the second ballad,of his,in last three on Real Jazz, now three of four)... waking up like i have, minus the headache, reminds of the time with my mother in Cayucos, because i used to put on some Coltrane, just sit down,be quiet, like i am now,and just remember what and who i loved... right now, they should just rename Real Jazz Real Coltrane, because they are playing a ton of Coltrane this hour, which i deeply love... i started to write this, talking about people who i deeply miss, and love, and yet, this is the greatest way to wake up,and i only wish that i woke up every day like this, because this is a day that i will always remember... i have the biggest smile, and memories are flowing(and tears)... folks,i do not care a whit... maybe, just maybe,i needed this from my heart,so i am enjoying this no end,and with that little nugget of truth,i simply end this... this is strange, folks, but i love it...
