commentary...

the last two weeks have been very exciting, considering that the Packers are tied with the Detroit Lions,record-wise,and have scored 72 points in the first halves in the last two games, and 108 points,overall... now for the enigma of the Minnesota Vikings, next weekend... why an enigma??? the NFL hearing on reinstatement of Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson(an arbitration hearing is scheduled for today)... there are only six games left in this season, and with a reported $15 million cap hit next season for the Vikings,is Peterson worth $15 million next year??? flip a coin on that... funny thing is that he is on the commissioner's exempt list, and only he can take him off it... Peterson wants to play,no doubt, but him acting like a six year old kid,and missing a scheduled disciplinary hearing,on Friday, complaining that the hearing does not comply with the collective bargaining agreement(CBA)does not help, but the NFL has a new set of rules concerning domestic violence, including a six game ban for first offenders, but honestly missing nine games being on the exempt list constitute that the six game ban does not apply to Peterson... if it does,he could be on the field Sunday,at home, against the Packers, and if not,he will miss the season... he could be reinstated, then suspended later on in the season, because of the arbitration hearing today... so flip a coin, folks,on that... without Peterson, the Vikings have a big problem to solve in Aaron Rodgers and company... with Peterson, the Vikings still have the same problem, and losing to the Chicago Bears,21-13,yesterday,after the Bears took a 50 burger (55-14)on the chin from the Packers the week before, means that the Vikings are in trouble, and the game is still six days away... what a dilemma for the Vikings...
